How dare you promote child abuse in the story. How dare the mother stand there and accept it and pay whatever the stupid husband wants. I agree. It was a dark story and nonsensical because the wife kept letting her daughter be hurt by the husband. It is not teaching the correct course of action for this situation. Even the lawyer gave the wrong information when they first met. It can also be triggerring to people who have been through abuse.

They don’t promote child abuse. It does exist and for once those stories are speaking of real bad things that happen in the real world not only cheater or crazy in laws in fantasy land. Even if the ones in that story were awfully bad. Husband beating their wife and their kids are a thing and sometimes it's very difficult for the victims to get help. So the writers didn't try to make a point, but just show that reality can be an ugly b!itch. Now if you prefer to live in the lala land of unlikely CEO, cute sister, lousy ex’s, cheaters and crazy in laws it's your problem.

Also the fantasy story does not give factual information such as the first response by the lawyer is painfully misinformation. Writers need to be careful and do their due diligence. I have been a Nurse and Counselor for many years.

Who’s PROMOTING a child abuse ? It’s a REAL life situation that happens daily especially in America. Child abuse and gun death are the number one reason we lose our children in MURIKKA. Stop acting like talking about a problem means ur promoting it. Ostrich like head burying doesn’t make it go away. Discussing it in a story actually helps educate those of us luck enough to not have to live through this situation.
