Awesome video - many thanks! In the end it turns out the part is more expensive than I am willing pay for an older washing machine, but saved me the money for a technician to come out and tell me it'll be an expensive repair bill

This is still a great step by step video. (Including steps to put it back together where others have just said reverse the process). First time I did this I replaced the rear drum which really wasn't that expensive from Sears. This time I replaced just the bearings and seal so I had to go to another video and then back to this one. Total cost was about $40. I have one suggestion, use a Robertson screwdriver in a hand drill. much faster. and screws don't drop out like Philips screwdrivers. Those screws are designed for both types.

how to repair or replace spider bracket bolt on a Haier XQG50-11?

Is it possible to send you a pic of the schematics so that some pieces I don't know of by name you could help identify as they are numbered. Also, is there a trade school you may know of to train in this field which I find fascinatingly interesting? 😳
@appliancepartspros9 жыл бұрын
Eladia Benson You can give us a call at 1-877-477-7278 and we will do our best to help you get everything you need. You can also post the problem along with the appliance model number on our repair forum and the techs can help you with the problem. KZbin is not the best place as we are limited in what we can post. Many schools have appliance repair training, just do a search in your area!

dumb question.... why didn't you just unbolt the counter weight instead of wrestling all the extra weight?
@appliancepartspros8 жыл бұрын
The way the washer is put together you cannot remove the front weight when the tub is installed. Once you have it out it is just as easy to lift the whole front half of the tub off in one piece.
@Android_Warrior9 жыл бұрын
Why don't you replace the water seal?, once you disturbed the seal you should replace it like your suggested the tub one. The main water seal is what actually cause the bearings to fail.
@appliancepartspros9 жыл бұрын
+Android Man It is always good to inspect them and changed them if needed. The reason we do not say, just change them like the tub seal is because they are only sold with the outer tub, which can be expensive.

I would like to have the extra expense that to have a call back for a water leak and agravate the customer in the process.
