THIS IS AN EXCELLENT VIDEO. I USED IT TO REPLACE MY MOTOR AND IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM. WITHOUT IT, I'M SURE IT WOULD HAVE TAKEN ME SEVERAL HOURS TO FIGURE OUT ALL THE TRICKS NEEDED. INCLUDING WATCHING THIS VIDEO, IT TOOK ME ABOUT ONE HOUR START TO CLEAN UP. I DID NOT HAVE A FUSE TO REPLACE ON MINE, AND THERE WAS NO LABEL STATING SO.

Why do you need to delete the fuse? Is there a fuse built into the new motor you are using? I bought an old motor. Same exact part number. I dont see any sense in deleting the fuse especially if using the same motor. If I have an old motor and its basically the same old motor then I would think its important to leave the fuse in place. Can anyone help with this

I wonder why he took the fuse out, fuse suppose to protect the motor. I would ohm check the fuse, if it's good, leave it, if not, replace it, instead of putting a jumper wire.

I am having trouble getting my new motor to slide in. You seem to have more room above the motor than I do to slide the motor in and rotate towards the front. Could my tub be lower than yours?

I had the same issue, and could not get it in the same way. Just had to put it straight in, instead of rotating it like he did.

WH20X10093 is a direct replacement for WH20X10092, so it isn't exactly the same part. The manufacturer may have made changes, but WH20X10093 is compatible with models that used WH20X10092.

Probably the new version of the motor either has an internal fuse, and/or the original external fuse does not have a high enough or slow enough rating for the new version of the motor. ...And, I'll betchya the reason they put a fuse internally is because people were jumping blown fuses, creating a hazard.

It's possible the replacement motor has its own short/overcurrent protection. I ran into a problem where the machine would fill, then just sit there until the timer advanced to drain, refill, sit dead again and then drain again. I found out that the blinking status light on the motor circuit board was dead. I used the wiring diagram to see if the motor was receiving power. There was power present but the wiring diagram indicated a fuse on the neutral side of the motor. I couldn't find it. I looked up the replacement fuse and found out it was an inline fuse wrapped into the taped harness. I cut it out and put a universal automotive fuse holder and installed a 10 amp fuse. It worked perfectly. On second thought, perhaps they have you jump the fuse before you find out it was the fuse all along and not the motor. I am watching this video now because I have another "no flash" condition but this time my fuse is good. If the motor is out it's not worth fixing the machine. This motor is direct drive to the drive pulley. There is no transmission. Agitation and spin are controlled by a "triac" circuit in the timer. There is a possibility that that portion of the timer is bad. I believe the motor's power is independent of the timer, hence the flashing light. The timer is used only to control the motor.
