Mine sounds like the legs are not even or the side panels are not all the way fastened/tightened.. The fan motor is bouncing around in the casing sounding like a loud vibration... Is that what you have?

Try to jam some shims to tighten the connection between the 1/2” extension and the plastic hub. If that still doesn’t work, you may have to start chiseling the plastic hub out or use a dremel. Make sure you don’t damage the threaded shaft!
