How did you know it needed a new balance ring ? A good guess ? I suppose it was going out of balance all the time ? I guess that a new ring fixed it ? Thanks for being so clear on everything ! I am really lucky ! My basket has 2 balance /float rings permanently attached to it !!!! It also has a non replaceable bushing that it spins on ! If you can find a new basket ( I hope it is improved ) It should only cost about 7-900 USD !!

Hey do you guys do online diagnosis and repairs. I have a whirlpool washer and I rattles whenever it's spinning in any cycle to the point where the entire barrel hung to the side . We called the repair guy and he fixed the hanging barrel but said he does not know why the barrel keeps shaking and suggested that maybe it's because it's a whirlpool automatic washer. This did not make any sense but we don't know what else to do. The washer is about a year. I live in south America so I was hoping that maybe via Skype you could help me to troubleshoot the problem. I would be more than willing to pay for the service.

What i just saw scared the crap out of me. Not because of the repairman, oh no the job is far more complicated than i thought and in my country is small jobs cost a fortune, a job like this will cost me 2 paychecks. And that is if the work crew is honest and know what they are doing

does anybody read these anymore? Ok, so i moved and when i got to the new place i ran a water only load to freshen it up as it was sitting for a bit before. It worked fine and drained up until the spin cycle. it started making a lot of noise and appeared to be leaning to the front left. I pulled off the shell and looked around. I can't find any broken springs or anything wrong. i could spend a small fortune replacing a whole bunch of misc parts. Thoughts anyone? I just feel like i'm missing something.

Great video!! Only criticism I have is your pushing your site so hard ! You can’t even answer simple questions about this video!! It’s like someone relied to the first few about the tattoos and then all other replies are canned messages about technicians standing by to answer questions! Of course for a fee, that’s fine but throw people a bone and answer there questions pertaining to this video! Might get you a lot further!

As a former appliance technician of 16 years, I never took one apart to this extent, but watching this video only once, I know I could repeat all the steps without any problems. So, if you are a do it yourselfer, you may need to watch two or three times to get all this, but for fellow techs, this is an easy video to understand.

I appreciate the help and all, but it would be great to see it with less cuts and see a more continuous job. For novices like myself, it helps to see little things like actually opening up the machine. The vid cuts it out like it’s a tutorial for a magic washing machine.

I learned a long time ago if you get that far into a old washing machine repair your better off buying a new machine . because parts are expensive and a lot of times another part fails soon after and that's doing it yourself . just think of paying someone to do this and paying for parts on top of that and in no time your up to a couple of hundred bucks and not far away from the price of a new machine with a warranty

@@Appliancevideo We love your videos. WE use them all the time to fix our machines. Every few years we spend about $50 on parts and take it apart and fix it ourselves with the help of your videos. The biggest pain is waiting for parts to arrive. Our Sears Parts store closed up, so we have to order online. But hey, it would have been 2 days before a repairman could have come anyway, and we would have had a $150 minimum service fee. Amazon Prime ships free to me in 48 hours! Buying a new machine like mine would be over $500, which is like $50 a year for 10 years......I spend less than that repairing this one so far!

My washer went out of balance last night. Was working fine and started banging around unbalanced so I pushed in the dial. It came to an immediate stop with a sudden thud! I tried to balance the load and it won't do anything now. I hear the dial making noise but it won't spin, wont agitate, won't drain the water out. I refilled the water up thinking it wasn't full enough to trigger it to work. H E L P!!!

Hi I bought a used Washer and Dryer from a lady that was going through a divorce . The Washer is a Estate by Whirlpool heavy duty super capacity 9 cycles - 4 Speed model number MOD ETW4400SQ0 SER CU2321718 TYPE 111 The Dryer is Whirlpool MOD WGD5200VQ1 SER MY 3705244 TYPE DWSR-NAT-1206006-FM22 I am hearing a little bit of a knock possibly in the washer . I had adjusted the foot pegs under it before i hooked it up. I am wondering it that may be the cause. unless it's a loud washer anyway. The owner said they were six years old. The dryer shoulds like it may have been used to dry some really heavy items in it. I pulled out about 20.00 to 22.00 in quarters from the inside with my shop -vac. Thinking I may need to have them services or looked at at the least to see if they are ok. can you give any advise ? thanks fran.
