Having hair like the daughter in the video has makes caring for it easier and the elbow grease/patience needed to do it less. So, if you didn't have that soft curly hair that's easier to manage, don't look at your mom sideways. As a black woman with kinky natural hair, caring for it does get tiresome. I could only imagine having to do mine and someone else's.

A quick inspiration - Nothing that has happened to you is a surprise to God. God’s hand is always on you. He’s ordering your steps. If the door is closed, it was supposed to be closed. If the person walked away, they were supposed to walk away. Don’t get upset, keep moving forward. God has already worked the situation out. He has something greater in store for you. @mcaeln7268

@@KariFromKZbin actually locs are a bit different. Most people can’t grow hair that sweeps the floor naturally (especially if they’re around average height). The way this is possible with locs is because the hair that they’ve shed over all of those years is locked with the hair that is currently growing, so they all get attached together. Along with that, breaking locked hair is like trying to step on a tree branch to break it as opposed to a twig. So anyone without any health conditions can grow hair that sweeps the ground if it’s locked. Otherwise, I’m not so sure that’s possible for anybody.
@mcaeln7268
@mcaeln7268 2 жыл бұрын
@@kimberlyrobinson5843 a lot of people’s hair stops at their shoulders. Let’s think about it. When your hair is touching your shoulders, it’s most likely touching a shirt or top of some kind, and I’ll bet most of your top wardrobe isn’t silk and satin… think about how often it’ll rub on your shoulders. I thought my hair also stopped at my shoulders but I protective styled for 3 months and kept the hair off my shoulders and voila… my hair goes past my shoulder blade. Remember, your ends are the oldest and weakest part of your hair. They’re not doubly reinforced in two directions, so it’s easier for them to break off, as opposed to hair that goes past that length. When touching the shoulders, your clothes don’t have a flat surface (your shoulders) and cloth to snag on to. For some people, their hair isn’t affected by their clothes at shoulder length, and that may be the case of your children. Try keeping your hair off your shoulders and see if that helps any.

Wow your daughter is so lucky to have you, my mom didn't know how to take care of my hair when I was younger so she relied on heat tools and relaxers to make my hair easier to manage. When I was about 14 I started to take care of my hair and at 15 I stopped straightening it and now at 16 I can officially say I am in love with my natural hair and I am proud of myself for putting in all of the effort.

Thank you so much for giving credit to God❤ Lets me know I'm not alone! I try to always say that prayer is one of the major keys to hair growth, and I've been met with many people saying "that's not true," etc. But they don't understand, you can pray to God to grow your hair, and He will give you ideas of things you can put into your hair that will end up helping you, and He can also inspire you to care for your hair.
