It’s surprising how little info and videos there is on the internet about this. I just got new frames and couldn’t figure how out why the bottom half of my lenses were blurry. Through trial and error trying to adjust them myself, I found that the tilt was the problem and you taught me how to fix it! Thank you! :)

Thank you so much for this video. I've been in optics a while and no one has ever taught me to put panto on a plastic frame like that but it's brilliant. I will be trying it next time at work.

Finally a video that actually helps with this, my eyelashes touch my glasses a bit so I needed this.

I found that I have too much and it was making me sick, by accident I was messing with putting my glasses over my ears, under or in the middle hanging over the edge of my ears instead of laying there like usual and that sick feeling went away. Looking up why, I found this video, makes sense, it must have to do with refraction.

I was feeling dizzy in my new workspace lenses. My optician made two adjustments: one, she flattened my frames in the front. It took away some of the dizziness. But the second thing she did I am not so sure about. She added a pantoscopic tilt. Since she has added that, it seems that more things are blurry. Can adding a pantoscopic tilt to a workspace or progressive lens affect the focus of the lens? This was done after the lenses were manufactured. The frame had been sent away to have the lenses manufactured and put in the frame. All of these adjustments were done after the lenses were made and after I had worn them for a few days.

Thank you for the tips, your videos are very helpful. When adding panto to a plastic frame, any tips using the actual tools as in the metal frame adjustment?

Is it normal to need this for nearsightedness or astigmatism. I am not far sighted but this tilt helps make even small text extremely crisp, sharp and easy to read.

You need pantoscopic tilt for every prescription.

Never, but never do this wile lenses are in the frame. You're 99% sure to damage the lens edge just by the tensions that will be applied from frame.

it's not true, you just have to know how to do it

зачем увеличивать пантоскопический угол? Это надо делать только в том случае, если пациенту некомфортно, зачастую это связано с асферической линзой, но бывает и со сферической.
