For most Canadian schools you just go to the universities websites Law page and apply. It's really easy. U of Manitoba doesn't even need a personal statement.

Thanks for this, did you focus on answering like why law why this school I know most schools don't ask but a lot of info online tells you to include it (ps I'm also applying to Ontario schools) it's just so hard when you doubt yourself and think is this even what they're looking for like Am I doing this right.

I hear ya! You're right, I focused mostly on why I wanted to go to law school and why I wanted to go to that particular law school. In doing so, I talked about what would make me a good candidate for law school - to show that I would be successful in law school. Hope this helps!

thanks you that is actually helpful! can you give some pointers on what makes someone a good candidate =/like how do you argue for yourself, aside from grades i didn't work past first year just a few volunteer positions with tutoring inner city kids (i found out pretty quick i couldnt keep up gpa + long commute + work + volunteer/social..i went to uoft btw just cause you're from ontario for reference) i just don't know how any of that translates into id be a good candidate accept me I'm awesome lol

I got accepted to a bunch of Ontario law schools, how did you choose which law school you wanted to attend?

I chose based on the areas of law it focused on, the location, and I have family here!

In the US they require the personal statement, application and application questions, LSAT, recommendations. I've looked into the process when I was trying to figure out what year to take my LSAT (I'm gonna take it Junior year) it's really similar to undergrad admission

Amber Rivera it is taken into consideration during the admission process but I have been told it doesn't have a heavy weight. It's more like if you go to a low ranked schools and have the same gpa as someone who went to a more prestigious school they'll be favored. The lower ranked the higher they expect the gpa to be
