You’re absolutely right! The membrane inside the shell of fresh eggs is really thick & sticky which is why they tear the egg apart. I have arthritic fingers, makes peeling harder SO I use an “easy peel” trick. Cover 4-6 eggs in COLD water, add 1 tablespoon of salt & a teaspoon of baking soda. Cover the pot, over medium-high heat, bring the water up to a boil. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat & keep lid on for 15 minutes. Drain the hot water then add really cold water to chill them quickly. The dramatic change in temperature helps the inside of the egg contract. The salt & baking soda helps break down the membrane. Works every single time with older eggs & they never get green yolks!! It’s so much easier to peel.

Being from the North, what words you say that sticks out the most to me is “i plugged ‘up’ the crockpot”. A friend of mine is from S. Carolina. She was looking at a rental that had a deep freezer & asked the realtor “is that plugged up?” He said “no it works just fine”😂 We say “plugged in” & an overflowing toilet is “plugged up”.

I have found the trick for easy peel eggs is to place the eggs in already boiling water. NOT cold water then bring to boil. Also, peel them warm. This is what works for me. My family loves egg salad.

A little tip for the slowcooker, get yourself a silicone liner. GAME CHANGER!!! Easy to clean and you don't have to lift the heavy ceramic liner. I HAD to get one because my main liner has a small crack in it, but I love it!!! Total game changer!!! God Bless!!!

I use a teaspoon to peal my eggs and it's so easy that way. Just tap the egg to break the shell and slide the spoon up under the shell and scoop the shell off. Get it up under the skin that covers the egg and the shell comes right off. 😀❤💐 love your videos , y'all are awesome , see you tomorrow .

Yes, you are right about the eggs, the older ones peel easier. I have also noticed that the darker green ones that we get from some of our chickens peel easy. Why that would matter I have no idea, but for some reason they do peel easy! 😄

I'm loving these outings n its so good for the kids too. When I was a kid we lived in Boone Co Wv and it's pretty much all mountains except for a few neighborhoods here n there but when it started getting warm us kids just about stayed roaming them from right after breakfast til dinner time. We built forts swung from trees, stuff kids should be doing lol. If u want ur eggs to peel easier, rap the big end on a solid surface to crack the end a little bit. Boil for about 8 mins, remove from heat, cover for about 6to7 minutes. Rinse them once in cold water let sit it cold water for 3 mins and peel. Don't leave them in the water for to long or ul never get the peeling off😂. Tyfs God bless you
