Visited Edinburgh twice, but travelled by train from Kings cross, London and it took my breath away ❤ abounding in greenery. Hope to fly this year to the Fringe festival

When flying into Edinburgh from the east, it is easily one of the best approaches to a city in Europe. When I know someone is flying into EH for the first time, I always tell them to ensure they get a window seat on the left. That flight actually looked quite sedate, starting from quite far out. I've been on many flights that overflown the city closer to shore, and gone quite far out over the Forth, before banking left to quite a high degree to get on the glide slope.

A good watch. My last home in the UK many years ago. Good to see the overall setting from the air. But more flight info would help. What airline? Where from? The babble on the intercom is mostly unintelligible - the sign of a bored attendant rattling through a stock announcement that they've read too many times before.

Cheers Cathy, flying in from Athens on Aegean Airlines, so the intercom was in Greek. Maybe I should have added music or something instead ?
