Yes they are an idol group but with a different twist to it. Like you have noticed, they don't feel like your usual idol group. Other than being talented, one other reason is their music is a mix of house music + pop rock.

UUG leader is red - Sengoku. Sub-leader (not official) is pink - Konatsu since she is 2nd eldest. Orange - Sekki is the utahime, main vocals. Yellow - Akari is 2nd vocal. As UFZS, Konatsu is leader, best dancer in the group.
