Lol, my grandfather/uncle had a MF combine similar model, grandpa wore aviator goggles the dust on the operator was so bad at times. I found out as a kid, sitting up on grain bin riding behind him, that I was allergic to oat dust after sitting in dust all day. We both looked like coal miners at the end of the day. They were high tech machines in their day.

Thanks for putting this video up. I know these 400 and 500 combines are very popular amongst collectors these days as are all the old Massey machinery. Does anyone know why the click picture is an Allis Gleaner model A combine.

Better than a binder and stooking and threshing. Dirty, dusty hard work back in the fifties and sixties, still we didn’t know any better, i have COPD as a result, even wearing a mask.
