Great, a friend of mine suggested this place to me because he lived there himself and it looks interesting

What a lovely video. I lived in Lichfield for many years. I am sorry you chose to have a reading voice with an American accent though. I have nothing against American accents but they do pronounce name places quite differently. So the way she said 'Birmingham' and 'Derbyshire' was not the way they are pronounced in England - we say Buh-ming-um (the -r and the -h are silent) and Dah-bi-shuh. Just so you recognise what we're saying if you actually come here.

Give Lichfield a miss. The council Parking Nazis' are so money hungary you will probably get busted for "parking" while waiting at a red traffic light. 🤣 Ric from Oz 👦🇦🇺👍😎

Lived in Lichfield for 14 years now and there is quite a lot of parking for such a small place. Most of which you have to unfortunately pay for, but many roads have times when you can park for free, at least for a while. These areas are clearly marked by signs telling you when you can park and for how long for free. Not too tricky. We do have a few traffic wardens and though seen rarely do fine people who dodge payments or park in illegal places. Again not tricky to not get fined. Would guess you got a fine for parking. Gotta say, with your comment, that makes me smile a bit. LOL.

@Ian H Well, our story is this. We parked near the cathedral. My wife has an Australian blue car as she is disabled. Despite Lichfield tourist information stating disabled parking was free, I bought a ticket. Unfortunately, the sign had an arrow pointing to the right, which directed you to the parking meter. I walked up the road and bought a ticket from a private parking meter as it later transpired. Despite clearly having no intention to "dodge,"as you say, in fact, quite the reverse. It was obviously an honest mistake, but they were determined to get their money. 💲💲We went from Lands End to John O'groats, paying for parking all the way without problems. I stand by my original post. I'm not sure why politics came into it? I just stick to the facts. Ric from Oz 🙍♂️🇭🇲🦘😎👍
