I'm so grateful for a man with great integrity and faith to be in a leadership position with the Vikings, and to be able to be an excellent example to my son and to so many others, through good times and hard times. Thank you, coach!

Love his coaching, love his approach in general, but I hate to say that it’s obvious his faith is in name only. I pray he takes it more seriously and digs in with whole heart.

Maybe he should stop cursing like a sailor. Not a good Christian witness.

You’re absolutely right he should. And that the Law. But in Christ there is an infinite amount of grace and forgiveness. And so if we are in Christ we should extend that same grace and forgiveness to him.

@@denny33 so you are suggesting to be gracious. Let him curse like a sailor and still claim to be a witness for Christ. That's not grace it's enabling. God has standards! You know a person's faith by their fruit. If coach is swearing like a sailor what might that suggest about his faith?

@@FearoftheLordI guess you didn’t read the first sentence of my comment. Also good luck on your upcoming surgery. I sincerely hope the doctors can remove that plank in your eye 😏 My point is simply that if we’re being honest with ourselves none of us have a good Christian witness because we are sinners. Yes we should try to be obedient and not sin but it’s clear we all do. That’s why we need the Law AND the Gospel. And if we really want our neighbour to see Christ, then we shouldn’t point to ourselves but instead point to Him.

@@denny33 I don't swear publicly and then profess to be a Christian. So plank removed thank you. Dude you have to keep reading the verse. We are allowed to call people to live according to God's standard. Your "you do you, he does him" fake Christianity is old and dried out.

”You’re absolutely right. He should (stop swearing)” “Yes we should try to be obedient and not sin” You’re conveniently blowing over those points that I made where I specifically agreed with you. Why? Why when I simply add in the gospel which we all need because we all send daily does that offend you? We need both law and gospel. Preaching law only does not produce obedience. “Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. “What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:20-6:2 But since you’re so concerned about the law, here’s one for ya. “You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭48‬ You may not swear publicly and profess to be a Christian but you sin in other ways and profess to be a Christian. Are you implying that if one sins they’re not a Christian? Cause if that’s the case we’re all screwed. Thank goodness for Jesus right? Yes God has standards and that standard is perfection. So when you fail, like we all do (you, me, KOC) I’ve got some Good News for ya.
