The snow never ends! Enjoy this April walk through a snow storm from Astoria to Long Island City. This storm was expected to result in 1 to 3 inches of snow. However, it already looked like 3 inches of snow when I left.

The umbrella really adds to the first person view and seems to make it feel a little more like really being there.

mynameis bob I know what you mean! You would think I might get bored with videos like these, but I mainly watch for two reasons. 1.) Long story s short, last year my Dad passed away so I had to move. Here it never snows. I rather miss the snow from upstate New York where I used to live. 2.)I am considering in getting a go pro myself so I wonder how they perform? This looks very impressive.

@@bishplis7226 Not really burning much by working out, as people think... You burn more by just cleaning your house than you do going to the gym :) Facts are though, if your diet ain't smart, there is nothing on the plan that can help you! Quit the simple carbs, then you don't have to waste all that time in the gym either, and easily shed 5 pounds per week doing absolutely nothing ;) Our body thrives better on fat, NOT on carbs... Carbs is what's causing all known folk-diseases, give that some thought instead :)

I find this so pleasurable! I don't get around like this any more so watching your video brings me back to when I used to walk as you do. The sounds are the same....I can almost feel the chill on my face. I thank you for your energy and believe your video could bring peace to several others.

Glad to see you got an umbrella. I seem to remember a couple of videos with you walking in the cold winter rain trying to do your best to catch pneumonia.

That's what I'm talking about, I always love the way snow makes it more quiet. Love it. I always try to walk where no one else has walked, so I can hear and feel the crisp sound of the snow. LOVE IT

So, after blocks of quiet, pleasant, urban, winter-walking with the occasional commercial setting, at 30:07 I recognize we are coming up on an elevated. If you understand the Ashcan school of art you can imagine my excitement at the emergence of major, gritty, aged infrastructure at 31:05. It gets better and better until at 32:24 you have plunged right into it! I am enthralled with the energy, the thrust and bind and layering of the railroad structures, the power and dynamism of the traffic. Then, you turn left and walk along under it! Wow! By 34:00 or so, the energy was dropping a little, but boy, was that good while it lasted! Thanks.

Sooo pretty! Always love when snow clings to the branches. That exit off the BQE is pretty frightening.

Amazing scene and best persistent snow fall ever. Pity the frame rate isn't quite there to catch the magic of falling snow. One of my fav things to do is watch a 60fps snow fall in half speed. :-)

I thought that you already have spring in New York and there is no snow. Everywhere the grass grows green. The weather that you show on your videos is very similar to where I live (Russia, Siberia). We have snow until May. Only at the end of April or in the middle of May does the grass grow green and it becomes warm. I noticed that this year winter is very long in different countries. Thank you for your videos, very interesting.

38:49 -- Cross the street? Right under the mammoth railroad trestle? Cross it? Cross...? Will the river of power pause just enough...? Traffic jamming against traffic. Heavy heavy heavy motion. The bus. Will he do it? Suspense. Train noise above. 39:59, Yes! Beneath the endless lap of the MTA where she plays with all her children. A small human walks in peace amidst unbounded power. Righteous. Yeah.
