Ronnie and I were in the same class at school in England. Every morning he would be happy and laughing. Always remember his chubby cheeks! Had no idea his mum was sick with MS. Had no idea where he was headed in life. April 1st stirs up emotions for me. I was born on the 24th so that's why we were in the same classroom. I am in America now. My heart cries for you Ronnie dear.

What a class act as a person Ronnie Lane was. It's 1977. Punk, disco, and throwbacks to the 50s are the rage. Ronnie feels no need to slum his look and appears in an immaculate pink tie and waistcoat like he's getting married. Song of a Baker, man!
@maiwillie16132 жыл бұрын
He was...is...a singer/songwriter whose work, voice, and personality I SO admired and always enjoyed as much if not more and his work equal to anyone else! SO underrated, SO ripped off, and in many ways SO innocent and TOO easy going for his own good (at the start all the small faces were but particularly him...he never changed) he was always who he was, NO subterfuge! Yet...he was as human...in the good sense...as anyone could hope for! God bless you Ronnie and I pray you are enjoying life in Heaven or at least on your way there!

Lovely, loving, wistful song. Always loved 'Evolution' off Pete's 'Who Came First' too, only came across a seemingly reliable set of lyrics recently, though I almost never play anymore. My first band did 'You're so Rude' in the mid-70s, I did it with my own band and solo subsequently. I had a copy of the Rolling Stone issue covering the ARMS concerts for decades, may still be here somewhere, hope so. )
