April Fools 2007 | adult swim history

Adult Swim likes celebrating April Fools Day each year. In 2007 A.S advertised that they would be airing the entirety of the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie early on tv. The movie started out fine until moving to the bottom left corner while regular programming played over it.
Sorry it took so long for this to come out. It took longer than expected to get all the footage.

Fun fact: Colon Movie got a Japanese dub, but not the actual show itself. That's like dubbing one episode of an anime in English.

Do I wish I still had the VHS tape my dad, brother and I recorded the episodes of _Family Guy_ that aired during this classic prank over 15 years ago! All of the memories came flooding right back from the many times we watched that tape over and over and laughed at those pop-ups advertising the tiny showing of the movie!

I love how the actual ads for the Aqua Teen movie are pure shitposts in of themselves. From the "Patriotic Poster shots" as I call them slowly degrading to primitive YTPs, to "Adult Swim goes to the movies" ("I like sitting in the dark with strangers"). They captured the essence of a prank like this to a T.

​@@GoldenGrenadier nope, only mute, although there is a latin spanish dub made in colombia (different to the show's dub in mexico) for the movie for the premiere of the movie on cable television in latin lamerica, back in 2015 (but is speculated that this dub was produced in 2007)
