I fished yesterday, it was still a bit cold. One rainbow for my efforts. This morning as I type this it's 28 deg F. not expected to be much higher than 40 deg F. And high water levels due to some heavy rain and snowmelt. On the other hand, I love my new Scott Flex 8'6" 5 wt, my first four-piece rod. As soon as this vid is over, I am making the 70 min drive to the West Branch of the Farmington. I may stay up there thru Monday.

awesome rod man def want to get my hands on a scott just a bit out of my price range right now haha but hopefully soon as i have heard amazing reviews from those rods i have never been to the farmington but i again have heard some great things are u referring to the farmington in CT? if not im sorry as i dont get to travel far from home and that is the only farmington i know of i wish u great luck on ur trip tight lines my man

Dude, you need to strip set streamers! Point rod back to streamer after jigging, and strip set when bumped! Will drastically improve your hook set
