Thanks for including me in your video Rodney. I"ve been a fan of your channel since I started salmon fishing about 10 years ago. Back then I had no clue, despite some 30 years of fishing all over the world, and your videos were a great help in figuring out how it's done. Since I started posting on KZbin, I've also come to appreciate just how well crafted your videos are. Keep up the good work.

Great fishing together down there that day for sure! And thanks for the kind words, you too!

Maybe I've missed this on previous videos, but I like the text you add at the bottom the screen in post. Informative, and fills in the gaps for viewers.
@FishingwithRodАй бұрын
Yeah I may have done this a couple times before but this is the first time I've included quite a bit in the video. Good to know, I will probably do more in the future. :)

You are very lucky to have such quality fishing for prime Coho with a reasonable number of other anglers. My hands get useless on days like that now that I am in my 80s. Great day of fishing! With the pressure we have 10 fish days are nearly impossible.
@FishingwithRodАй бұрын
Thanks for that! This particular watershed offers good opportunities for so many anglers due to the modest yet successful hatchery program.

Quite possibly the most chill combat fishing I've ever witnessed

just wondering if coho fishing goes till december?
@FishingwithRodАй бұрын
Coho salmon return to the Vedder as late as early January but the bulk of the run returns in October. You'd have to look really hard for them in the next month or so.
@Pray4Mojo1Ай бұрын
Yep, but it's already slowed down quite a bit. I got 1 hatchery fish today. All the rest this past week were wild. Didn't see any chum except a couple zombies.

What rod and reel is that? The specifics if you dont mind . Looking for a spoon and and twitch rod set up
@Ifish24-7Ай бұрын
Pretty sure in his other videos he’s said the rod is 8’6 8-12lb g-Loomis. The reel looks like a 2500 (or maybe 3000) Shimano vanguard.

When fishing is slow you have to stay longer, maybe it will pick up. When fish are biting, you have to stay longer to take advantage. Either way, you will never keep the "couple of hours" promise. LOL :D

Sounds pretty logical to me, not sure why all the non-fishing friends and family can't understand that. 😅

I can also tell you that for every 100 clipped fin there is about fifty that are unclipped going to the same hatchery the clipped one's Go.. seen it. I called a hatchery Guy on that. He was dumbfounded by what I know. He couldn't argue about the unclipped fish swimming with the other in the same holding pond. I made a point of pointing them out. They don't care about it. It' called excapement fish.
