Oh my gosh. I always love watching your videos tho my partner would hate it if he knew. Every video I watch I find another plant to my wishlist. Your the best gardener closest to my grow zone. 4a. ❤

Thank you for the tour! As a fellow Northern Illinois gardener it is nice to see a bed with some of same issues…weeds, grass in beds, plant loss 😢😢😢, and the joy of the plants returning!

Everything is looking wonderful! Question: At the end of the year can you edit these garden tours to a mash up your video so every season is shown? I would love to see the evolution of the garden as time changes it. I would love to see how you plan seasons in your beds and how to create every season interest. It is so hard to imagine the same view changing when I plant. I buy things knowing the plant changes from spring, summer and fall… however it is hard to truly imagine what will the view be every season. Sometimes things look great in one season only to look blah in the next. I tend to have to move things a lot. It is so nice seeing your garden and knowing the age of everything. It helps me decide what to buy or not ~ and what to expect. Thank you for sharing so much info! Love the videos & you have so much space ! I am enjoying following along on your garden journey! Excited to see what you do next !

Loved the tour.😊 I spent today planting vinca minor, mazus, and snapdragons in my front yard. We couldn't get grass to grow the past two years, just weeds which I dug out for the past two years 😝. This year I'm trying a variety of ground covers. I'm hopeful for a lovely result.

I do the same thing about taking pictures of plants, their growth or non-growth. So I look at the pix and decide what to do next. I put in a new bed in February that I thought was a very sunny location in previous years. When the trees have now leafed out, it's shady. So I may have to move plants.

I can't believe you don't know what's in the red shed. I would have been in there right away to see if there's anything good. I hope you take it so long when you go through it. I'm curious.

I did open it and peek in there when we first moved in.... it looked like a bunch of junk to me. But who knows? Maybe there is a treasure in there

I planted 3 Lemon Lime Punch hydrangeas last year. Loving that tulip combination. Maybe you'll get your cottage garden done this year. There's always something you want to change or add in your garden. I've been working on mine over 30 years. Thanks for the garden tour Michelle. Bonny zone 5b Ontario, Canada

I also live in zone 5 b. My magnolia Jane had more flowers than last year however leaves showing curled and edges are crunchy. Is there anything I can do ? I love your garden, I’m always learning something new. Thank you!

@@gardeningTLC you might be right, thank you for your reply. I was walking around in the garden and found out the young climbing hydrangea leaves showing some distressed. We had frost few days ago, I think the did it. Hopefully we can leave behind those days finally.

Nepeta Cat's Pajamas is the shorter and Cat's Meow is the taller. I only know this because I was recently researching them and deciding which I wanted for my retaining wall bed. I have two dwarf butterfly bush that look like your Coralberry. I already lost one, and the remaining two are naked! I'm also waiting to see, and trying to remember if they always start later.

The video was great. Walking through your gardens made me smile the entire time. I missed the Willow orb video, so I will go back and see that. Looks really nice. I'm wondering how tall your Weeping Norway Spruce will grow? I'm looking for one that will grow 10 to 12' tall. I just love those and have a spot in my yard where I think it will look beautiful. Will the magnolia grow really big or is it the type that will stay that height? They are so beautiful and feminine in appearance. Also, to me, they are a sure sign of Spring! I want to put my annuals in, but I am concerned that it is still getting to cold at night. My perennials are doing fine, so I am happy about that! Thanks so much!
@gardeningTLC8 ай бұрын
Th Jane Magnolia will get 10-15' tall and 6-10' wide. The Weeping Norway will get around 15' high.

Would you suggest using landscape fabric where wiregrass grows? It is impossible to pull out since it spreads by rhizomes that break when I pull it. I have used it successfully around my tomatoes in my vegetable garden.
@gardeningTLC8 ай бұрын
To smother yes...just don't cut a hole in it and know it could still spread and grow through. It would need to be heavy duty.
