Michelle, I wanted to thank you for your videos. I'm an avid sewer and would watch your videos with my mom who had dementia. She couldn't tolerate anything on tv. When I would say "do you want to watch sewing bunny?" She would light up and say YES! She passed last night and I'm grateful for you! Keep recording we love you!

Hello Darling. I am so pleased that you found my suggestion of the Butterick pattern for the dress pattern by AK Patterns that is no longer available helpful. I have been meaning to tell you that when I see you overlocking on your sew a longs you use the four spools of thread. When you are just making a seam neat you only need three spools and the one needle. You usually only use the four threads when you are making the whole garment on the overlocker. I have the same model overlocker as you do and only use the three spools when finishing. I do love your makes they are beautiful. Take care and love to Bentley and Misty xxx
@SewingBunny3 жыл бұрын
Yes thank you for the suggestion, I got a few people saying they were sad they couldn’t get the AK patterns one so brilliant to give an alternative 💖 you know I have never changed my overlocker to 3 threads 😂 I think I am just a bit lazy, but I guess I should at least try it sometime 😁 Misty and Bentley say hello 🐈⬛ 🐈 😻 xx

Hi Michelle, lovely makes as always. I think I commented about your amazing skirt when you showed it off on Instagram because you should are justifiably proud of it. I was interested about the different sizes of your fat quarters, a true fat quarter is half a yard in length by half the width of 45inch fabric, however, most fabric shops in the UK will cut it 50 cms long by half the width of 112cms (45inches) fabric which is more or less the same size. I have noticed that some hobby shops sell fabric squares smaller than this but still call them fat quarters, it’s a question of reading the small print to find the actual dimensions. Sorry for the long comment 😂🌈🍓🧶
@SewingBunny3 жыл бұрын
Haha I love your comments 😁 yeah the fat quarter thing is a bit puzzling 🤔 glad you like the skirt I do love swishing about in it 🥰 x

Hi Michelle, When I have to knit a baby cardigan and they don’t want to know the sex, I knit it with buttonholes either side. Then when the baby is born I quickly sew the buttons over the wrong buttonholes. Works a treat and they’re none the wiser! So, you see it can be done on purpose!! But I love that skirt. Well done.Mims x

Ahh I love that idea! Such a good way of doing it 😁👍
@belinda58sews293 жыл бұрын
You are so hilarious in your description of "perhaps show a flash of the tape and catch someone's attention". As of yet, I'd still rather NOT have people comment on what I'm wearing because I am so far from perfect and fit is still sometimes a bit iffy in my case, but I can aspire to what you are describing for sure!
@SewingBunny3 жыл бұрын
😂 yeah don’t get me wrong I still have a lot of makes where I don’t want people to look too closely! I really feel that doing all that bias binding has just upped by skill a little bit which feels so good 😊 xx
@thesewingtrolleydolly77363 жыл бұрын
Hi Michelle, nobody would have noticed your ‘booboo’. My TAL toile of my cuff top was something else. Instead of flipping the pattern piece, as directed in the instructions I cut them all in the same direction (not on the fold) so have 1 panel back to front on both sides creating a design feature! I will still wear it around the house.🤦🏾♀️🤣
@SewingBunny3 жыл бұрын
We all make those sort of mistakes! Sometimes it’s just a case of oh well and move on 😂 at least it’s wearable xx

I absolutely love your blogs thank you for taking the time to do them, I just have to say the only thing that puts me off watching is the colour of the wall behind you, sorry for the criticism but I thought I should make you aware not for my sake but for yours, it’s so dazzling
@SewingBunny3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I totally get that the wall is very bright and loud and not for everyone. I personally love the colour but understand your point. I don’t really have anywhere else to film but maybe I will ask everyone if they would like me to look at options for a backdrop of some kind. Thanks for watching and the feedback xx
