I had seen April Wine many times in my life. The first time I saw them they opened for Kansas at the CNE (Exhibition Stadium). After every Kansas song, the crowd chanted "April Wine! April Wine!"The NEXT time I saw them was the first time that Brian Greenway played with the band - it was in Peterborough. I forget where... And Myles did a guita solo (using a talkbox) that was so loud and so rude and obnoxious that I fell in love weith him instantly. Perhaps the greatest Canadian band ever.

In between every Kansas song - 50,000 of us shouted APRIL WINE! APRIL WINE! Kansas kept playing and we all left. My next memory of April Wine was at the Roxy in Peterborough. The Whole World's Going Crazy Tour. Brian Greenways first gig. Myles - THE ABSOLUTE CANADIAN GOD - Goodwyn played a 30 minute guitar solo that stole my virginity and let me put Eddie Van Halen into perspective. Yes Myles Goodwyn is a better musician and songwriter than Eddie Van Halen. Disagree with me? JUST LISTEN TO THIS FUCKING SONG!

So here I am to enjoy it again (haven't heard it in years actually) and, it's earbud-worthy. :) I have only so much money ya know, as we all do, so I can't buy all the music that *I'd* like to, but I do what I can. :)
