We did a friendly drag between The aprilia RS457 and the yamaha R3.The riders were of similar weight and skill level. Enjoy the video!!

Hi people I really need help, So i have a dominar 400 for my usual daily commute and weekend rides that happen once every 2 months. And i really want to get a sports bike. But the issue is when will i even use it, as for trips dominar really is comfortable along with pillion or luggage. I really like rs457 but I can’t take it on my trips and even i wouldn’t use it in city cause that would be a wasted potential. So the question is should i listen to my heart and go for it, or just take a smaller sports bike like a r15 and use it in city and keep dominar for trips. I really fancy the idea of a sports bike and even had cbr650r in my mind but i am not able to find a use case as my dominar really is covering a hell lot of ground(i hate and love it for that). I really thought it would be easy to just get what you like, well seems the maturing up is getting to me. Any suggestions are welcome Thankyou.

I'd say take a longer test ride and see how you feel with the 457. If you like it then listen to your heart. The 457 may not be the best tourer. But I got it to even tour on it.

Doesn't look a performance exhaust. I have Akra full system carbon racing line with free flow air filter and ecu remapped ( power tronic) on my R3. It costed me extra 2 lacs but the bike runs amazingly light and fast. I guess all the bike needs those custom changes to get full potential Outta them. Those pollution norms just suck the performance. This one looked a bit lazy. never the less Aprilia 457 is a great machine.

@@TOPG635 I didn't try till full potential but 185kmph is is pretty easy now and it still has enough margin to accelerate. I use 140/70 section tyre so there is hardly any speedo error. It has become much quicker. Doesn't affect the top end much. max 8-10% gain you get by tuning and stage 2 upgrade. It helps in acceleration. Better suited for the track but I just use it for highways to commute long distances.

Nothing like there's an rpm lock before first service. But all ecu based stock bikes have a rev limiter at certain rpm. I feel the bike was locked at 200 kmph on 6th gear.
