Took a rs660 for a test ride the other day, what a bike. The low down power surprised me for a small capacity bike. The roar off the airbox is properly addictive. First time with quick shifter and blipper, quick shifter is brilliant but couldn’t quite figure out the blipper. Just never felt right, maybe I was just too gentle haha.

Yes, that roar is hugely addictive! That demonstrator you rode must have not had the blipper set up properly. It's one of the smoothest I've tried. Better than latest R1 for example

looks good, I watched you as I fancy a 660. Did you fix the oil leak?

Not yet mate, cleaned the bike and had a look around but can't find anything obvious. It's under warranty and my next trackday is in September so I'm not bothered. It will be fine, the bike is so good, glad I got it!

UPDATE: The generator cover had come loose. Apparently the heat from track use made the coating expand and push a bolt slightly out. Not visible to the naked eye but enough for oil to push through under load.. 🙈
