I have a new tuono that came with the akra, i love the sound i just feel it needs more volume, this is 1 option however i live around the corner from racefit in the uk so thats a strong contender too. Love the livery.

Right on. I haven’t seen a racefit on an Aprilia in person but I’ve seen a racefit on a triumph and the quality was good. I think if you went racefit, you wouldn’t be disappointed. Nice because it’s something different, rarely see Racefits on Aprilia’s. Cheers man thanks for watching.

Hi ! Thanks for the video! the RSV4 is beautiful! are you still using the V2? because now with the V4 and the RSV4 is the V2 powerful enough?
@ridewithKY2 ай бұрын
@kenpachi8848 Thank you the compliment! The V2 still has its purpose. I certainly feel the power differential now that I’m used to the RSV4/V4. However, the V2 differs in that it feels like a 600cc motorcycle when you are doing mundane tasks in that it’s extremely narrow, light, and nimble. But then when you open it up, it’s strong. The Rsv4 and especially v4 feel like a much larger motorcycle when performing mundane everyday tasks. That’s the difference. Take care, hope that helps.
@kenpachi88482 ай бұрын
@@ridewithKY yes indeed the V4 seems bigger and much more powerful to me. I've had the v2 for 4 months. You don't want the v2 anymore because you got tired of this bike? I'm afraid of being in this situation and installing a line for nothing. Although today when I use it I find it great
@ridewithKY2 ай бұрын
@kenpachi8848 I don’t think it’s that I got tired of the V2. I can’t afford to keep 3 super bikes. That’s a lot of insurance, oil changes, tires, etc. If I had the space and could afford it, I would just keep the V2. It’s in a unique space.

I have this setup on my 24 Aprilia and it is amazing. Running through the gears is wild on the highway. I do feel sorta bad when I split lanes with this exhaust. I'm sure people hate it. A lot of people love to chat with me about the bike. The bike draws lots of attention.
@ridewithKY2 ай бұрын
Awesome man, I feel the same as far as lane splitting goes with this exhaust. I try to keep it down if I’m splitting lanes by pulling in the clutch if I see a window open. No need to purposely be a jerk. Thanks for sharing man, enjoy your 24 Ape.

Hey KY, man i was seriously considering the APE and V4 but i don't know much about either. All I do hear is that if you want something to daily around town, get a v2 and if you want something for the track, the v4 is best. I was told no need to get a ducati if you plan on just chill riding because the maintenance can get out of control. Likewise the only thing I hear people say about APEs aren't much at all except they are kind of a pain to tune. I lean more towards the APE but Im definitely loving the styling of the ducs. I currently got a 23 gsxr1k
@everettgabers77732 ай бұрын
hey @YoyoEnglish-oq9we I currently have a 21 rsv4 and I can tell you hands down that the Ape is better. when it comes to tuning, there are two main tuners: Gabro and Bren tune, however, I am sure there are a multitude of them out there. The main advantage of the Ducati is the looks if youre into that style and the Location of dealerships. With the Aprilla, there are select a few dealerships which actually can do warranty work however, there are a lot of dealerships that are willing to work on them in general. This is all to say that I have never had to take in my Aprilia for any warranty work. Hope this helps. BTW the ape sounds so much better plus you can find a 21+ used for almost 5k cheaper than a v4
@ridewithKY2 ай бұрын
@YoyoEnglish-oq9we I have all the bikes you are considering. A 2021 V2, a 2023 V4, and a 2023 RSV4, so I will assist as best I can. I don't track my bikes. but I have heard the same regarding the V4 being the better track bike. The V4 is a newer design and is lighter than the RSV4 so it makes sense that it would be the better choice for the track. As far as the V2 goes, it is an excellent all around motorcycle. It is significantly slimmer and more nimble than the V4. I know on paper the curb weights are similar, but the V2 feels light as a feather between your legs. It is an awesome machine and isn't insanely expensive like the V4's are. If you are planning on keeping your GSXR 1000, I would heavily suggest you consider the V2. It feels like a 600cc or less motorcycle between your legs, but has the power of an older liter bike. Absolutely unique combination for sure. I would say V4 vs RSV4, it just depends on what you are looking for. Neither one is better than the other. Aprilia guys will tell you the RSV4 is better and Ducati guys will tell you the V4 is better. For me the RSV4's are kind of ugly ducklings, so if aesthetics is your game, then I would get the Ducati. Ducati's in general also have way cooler parts available. Aftermarket part availability is pretty limited for Aprilia's. There's some unique and cool parts here and there, but nothing like there is for Ducati's. As @everettgabers7773 mentions, the dealer network is a consideration. The Aprilia dealer network sucks and the availability of replacement parts is also awful. Aprilia is just a much smaller company than Ducati... From what I've seen, the quality on Aprilia's is also not that good. I am actually in the process of having to warranty my tank already as the finish has split in multiple places. Not fun when there's no ETA on a replacement tank. That being said, the RSV4 is a special motorcycle, that 1099cc V4 is the star of the show. Aprilia has somehow created a ferocious motorcycle that is still comfortable to ride. I find the Aprilia much more comfortable to ride than either my V2 or my V4. Plus you can't beat the sound of that Aprilia, it is a much better sounding engine than the 1103 in the Ducati. Whether you choose the V4 or the RSV4, you will not be disappointed. Either bike is very special. You just have to decide what matters most to you and make a decision from there. Take care man, hope that helps.
@YoyoEnglish-oq9we2 ай бұрын
@@ridewithKY I definitely echo your opinion on the aesthetics/looks between the APE and Duc. I prefer the overall looks of all Ducs over the APE, I feel like the Apes didn't go the way of Ducati and MV Aug in the styling department but it still looks good to me. I think my major concern is what IMkay and FastlaneD said about having to replace the clutch system of the Duc after like 2,400 miles or so was insane. I don't want those kinda problems, but they also have dry clutch upgrades. If I did get the v4 or Ape, I would strongly consider trading/selling my gsxr. v4s and Apes aint cheap lol
@ridewithKY2 ай бұрын
@YoyoEnglish-oq9we you don’t have to worry about the clutch replacements unless you buy a R, SP, or Superleggera. Or I guess if somebody converted a V4/V4S to a dry clutch. I would highly advise against a dry clutch. They are cool for sure, but you lose some street mannerisms and the interval, as you mentioned, is just crazy. Ducati maintenance is not bad at all as long as you don’t get a dry clutch. Hope that helps bro.
@YoyoEnglish-oq9we2 ай бұрын
@@ridewithKY I will NOT get a dry clutch with a Duc after that enlightenment lol.

I do not think I can pay that much for a piece of titanium. Akra is much more affordable. I love the bike though, I kind of regret selling mine. I think I will get another Aprilia next year.
@ridewithKYАй бұрын
The Akra is very affordable for what it is, all while being a quality piece. The Akra is pretty quiet however and it's huge. Some people enjoy a stockfish sounding and looking bike, nothing wrong with that. For this context, with all the carbon and with the graphics kit, I don't think a stockish looking and sounding exhaust would have been an appropriate choice. Ride safe, hope you get back on an Aprilia soon.
