Questions? I have this same kit installed. Did You take restrictor plate off? Also how did You index plug? Some say away from fuel spray and some same facing. I've got NGK ZMR7AP in mine. I'm getting a small hesitation wide open. Seems to change with plug gap and index. I'm so close to having it perfect. I even thought about putting old unrestricted ECU back in. I question if this ECU is fully derestricted ( one that came with kit ).

Hi, I'm 100 kilos about 18 stone and my aprilia 50 ditech went 70mph. I want a big bore kit to make a paraglider motor with a turbo, as it's the only 2 stroke motor that can utilise a turbo without wasting fuel being blown straight through ! What i need is a programmable ecu that can be tuned for a propellor. Also how does the crank get lubricated? Any help would be great thanks

Q1: Did you try out Dr. Pulley sliders on this bike? What were the performance differences? The stock ones are 5.3 grams - will the Dr. Pulley sliders correspond in weight to normal rollers - ie. I can replace the stock 5.3 grams with a mix of 5.0 and 5.5 gram DP sliders (they only come in 0,5g increments) for an average of 5.25, and have better performance while keeping it in the same powerband, or will I have to buy a bunch of sets and experiment to dial it in all over again? Q2: Polini has a performance cylinder for this bike that reportedly utilises springs to increase the gas pressure. Could this be used to adjust the pressure from the ECU (stock or Malossi) if it runs too rich for example, as you said it did in this video?

It’s exactly fast as an original 50cc SR with carburator. No issues with rejetting ad all that stuff but instead of tearing apart that engine you would prefer to install a decent exhaust pipe and maybe a variator to gain better perofonances

BEWARE: From what I have read now, you should NOT mix oil in the gas tank on Ditech/Factory/electronic injection systems. They will clog up and cause issues.

If you are doing a 70cc big bore kit, you will need to. Otherwise you will only have the oil supply injected for a 50cc. Not good :-(

Ditech has a different system (it uses a lot less oil than the carbureted SR50) so I think it probably doses oil according to the fuel used. The Malossi ECU would then increase the oil along with the fuel. And word is that mixing oil in the tank like you can with a carburetor apparently does not go over well with the Ditech injection system.

He better own it with piaggio purejet engine.no service light.u can adjust the oil pump but careful with more oil the mixture get leaner.but dont need to even with 70 cc.its just low rpm cyl running around 9500 rpm.it gives better acceleration but thats all.u can gain the topspeed a little with malossl primaire gear and polini fuel pressure regulator.morinis are old junk.its hard to find parts.

Nice kit, painful to install. My only gripe is depending on how you ride you will need to rebuild the top end after 3-5000k. Also depending where you live you will need to add a moisture collector. New piston and rings with the gaskets and rubber orings is about 125$.

The manual from Malossi says: "Every 3000 km decarbonise the head, the piston crown, the exhaust and the silencer. Check that the piston rings are not carbonised and check also for wear at the meeting point (ring gap). The gap must never exceed 7-8 tenths of a millimetre. So I don't see how "you will need to rebuild the top end after 3-5000k". The piston should last longer than this (most likely the rings as well?), and I suppose that's the main cost driver in your stated price?

@@insoninenine8749 I own the Morini version and its been nothing but a headache, new rings after 3-4 months, new injector and new fuel pump. i prefer my kymco carbureated super 9 LC any day

​@@chowmurphy Yes, it can be a real headache to get sanely priced replacement parts for these injection motors, as they are no longer sold. I think the issue was that there were a lot of garages that didn't know or gather the competence on injection motors, and therefore they stopped carrying the ditechs, as consequently there were a lot of complaints and issues with the motors. And I think I might have misread you statement - you probably meant 3-5k MILES, right? That translates to 5-8000 kilometers, which sounds more accurate. The Malossi manual states that they should be replaced at 5k km. I've heard with regards to the Polini Sports Injection kit, which is similar, that its common to rebuild the top after 6500km, depending a little bit on your preferences - they will loose some compression as they stack up kilometers.

Man i have same kit into my ditech.. But with multivar from malossi, fuel presure regulator polini bowl, rollers 7g l, leo zx-r, spring +16% malossi exhaust and makes 16.7hp on wheel.. It goes to 60miles per hour in 5.3s.. When good wheather comes to poland i will upgrade new video on yt.. But black smoke from exhaust means to remap.. I hope its make more power. @@insoninenine8749 i have both instaled.. In this configuration u need to remap ecu.. On malossi ecu i had 11hp. Then i instaled polini Bowl and i do remap. Nów its 16.7hp

u get almost 17 hp from ditech?haha,no way man. check ur dyno!malossi or polini 70 kit are low rpm cyl it only running around 9500 rpm and 7-8 hp max.mhr replica kit 10-11 hp and mhr team 6t/7t from out of the box 16-17 hp.stop dreaming bud and dont drink too much vodka.
