Well deserved! I think the Aprilia has set a fairly high benchmark in its category - even when you look at the new 2023 bikes, there is nothing that can seriously compete with the Tuareg.

so a ktm 890 adventure r can´t compete with it?

@@juanfelipearango2029 different category and price. The direct competition of the Tuareg would be a 600 to 750cc

@@juanfelipearango2029 The 2022 Bike of the Year is only for new and heavily updated models for 2022. The KTM 890 Adventure R featured in the 2021 Bike of the Year awards, and the 790 Adventure R was the winner in 2019. The 890 R is an awesome bike but it wasn't updated last year, so it didn't qualify.

Great decision, I chose to buy this same bike. The only two bikes I was willing to put my hard earned cash on when it came down to it was the Aprilia Tuareg or the KTM 890 adventure R

At this point all bike manufacturers need to do is add cruise and tubeless wheels to a small adv bike. simple really. That's pretty much all anyone wants. Me, I have a dr650 among other bikes and that's all it would take to make it perfect.

Seems like a conflict of interest for a guy sponsored by Aprilia to do the ride days and also be on this panel selecting the Aprilia as BOTY. Regardless I rode the bike myself and thoroughly enjoyed it.
@bikesaleschannel Жыл бұрын
Hey Oils, Cam is not sponsored by Aprilia, he was simply hired to help on those ride day weekends. His involvement in BOTY was completely unbiased.

Im thinking exactly the same thing. No dealer network. Its kind of fugly too. It basically the T7s ugly twin...

I hope Aprilia launches this in India. The 600cc is non existent (Versys 650, Vstrom and the Tiger 660 can't be labelled as true ADVs). This if priced around 12 Lac Rupees on road will be a smash hit.
@philliphotschilt683 Жыл бұрын
But is it reliable time will tell as Aprilia has a bad reliability issues
@sspirito3130 Жыл бұрын
Let me tell you a secret: the unbreakable 660 single engine in the Yamaha Tenere 660 is the same engine as the old Aprilia Pegaso 650. Both Yamaha and Aprilia have a close relationship with Motori Minarelli for their engines and engine parts.

Even if you chose it as bike of the year, it would be nice to mention the things that could be improved, it would make video more honest and less "paid promotion". I mean there is no perfect bike, you also have to take into account dealer network, parts availability, the flimsy skid plate, etc... and still can be you bike of the year.

Right, with only 68 dealers Aprilia in the USA, and over 1000 for Honda, you have to be a fool to own one.
