I am glad this video wasn't so 'Learner' focussed. I mean in the 60's this type of power without the performance of mid engine bikes today rhey pushed through and became heros. I understand Lams is a selling point however true motorcyclists know riding is about 'smiles for miles'. Its not all about great big engine outputs! (Australia and USA seem to be more obsessed) This review was balanced. A great bike! For those who have ridden for decades I listen too, dont see these mid 650's as specifically 'Learner Bikes' they see them as just motorcycles all can enjoy sensibly. The real deal. What an awesome bike this is joined to a great 650 platform of options for riders!

he is lying about what he thinks of the new monster. 😂 my detective 🕵️♂️ sense tells me that .. i just received my monster sp yesterday. i bought it because i can and im not a fan initially i also own panigale v2 and some japanese. surprisingly , the monster sp (looks mt07ish to me ) is so easy to ride. 😂it’s great. but it feels slower than my 2024 mt09 , don’t know why ..

Test rode one, didn’t like the engine. I actually don’t get this bike. If the 450 class is supposed to be lightweight for better off road performance, then this isn’t it. Around 195kg isn’t lightweight. When that engine is trying to pull that much girth, it’s probably why it revs its tits off at 85kph - KTM has it nailed for years with more off road orientation - a “little” known secret called the 690 - more power, more torque, more travel and far less weight. If reliability is your concern, you can get the new DRZ - and this time around you don’t need to shovel money into the suspension. People might moan about the 5 spd gearbox, but if you’re prepared to put up with the too high revs in the 450MT on the highway, then it’s not a concern.

Hi l've owned my R1300GS Trophy Enduro X for over a year now riding it in mostly nasty horrible conditions here in Scotland but l've nothing but positivity to say bout it. It's defo my fav GS after having 5 and still riding my R1250GS Rallye back to back with it on a weekly basis. Plenty vids of both bikes and comparisons on my Channel Caledonian Biker. I've also seriously specialised my R1300GS up with a full race system that I'm well impressed with giving it so much more torque than the KTM 1390. Cheers C.B.

My Monster SP rips on track and street. It is objectively better than all the Monsters that preceded it and the racing DNA shines through when you trailbrake it in to a corner. I don’t care about trellis if it means lower weight and better handling. If you want a retro Ducati with a trellis, buy a Scrambler.

I owned a previous 821 and then now i own the 937 and the difference is day and night. The new monster is better in every way. Modern design, lighter, better turning range, more horse power. It is a really fun bike that both an experienced rider and a novice rider can enjoy. Also they kept the orginal formula that gave birth to the orginal monster. I don't understand the hate. People need to get on one and ride it!

Great to hear about your experience with the 937! We tend to agree with your sentiments, but some people just love the old classics!
@metubechannel143811 күн бұрын
Don't understand the hate? really? Where's the single sided swingarm, and the beautiful trellis frame and the other small engineering appointments that showcased the monster as an icon of Italian design? This new one looks like every other generic motorcycle released in 2024... and it's not the only new Ducati that's taken a step backwards in the design department - it may as well be a Suzuki... in fact I'd rather ride a new Suzuki.... the new Katana looks much nicer than this - are those wheels taken off the new V-Strom?
@shadimagdy819611 күн бұрын
@metubechannel1438 monster didn't have single sided swing arm. Ride both and then make an opinion. What ducati did here is progress and not improving your bike for looks and nostalgia only will turn them into another harley. Plus dropping the trellis resulted in weight loss and better turning radius which means better riding experience particularly in the city. Plus i believe that the new monster has a lot of the dna of the old one and i am talking looks here. It is just a modern interpretation. Also it is based on sports bike so the ducati respected the orginal concept. With that being said mate i understand that bikes are emotional objects and each one has his own reasons for what to like and what not to like. If you really like the older design then you can easily pick one in the secondary market and get a good deal at it as well :)
