Thanks for the feedback! You are so right. When I bought the Tuareg, I was shocked at how few helpful videos there were online. So I'm determined to help with whatever video feedback I can. We've got a playlist started, and have a LOT more videos coming! 🙂

Interesting topic. I have 1500 miles on and off-road and I don’t feel a need of such a modification.

That's great! Many don't have a problem with it. But if you do some digging, you'll find a lot of riders notice the spring is much stiffer than other bikes they've owned. I traded in a Honda for the Aprilia. Now that I've done the modification, the Aprilia's throttle tension is the same as what the Honda's tension was from the factory. But if it doesn't bother you, that's fantastic!

I tried this a couple months ago after seeing a tutorial on a Tuareg forum. Couldn't get the torx bit to bite enough so gave up because I didn't want to drill out the screw. I now have 11K miles on my bike and haven't needed a weaker throttle return spring, but sure would be nice if it would have worked.

Thanks for letting us know! I'm sorry it didn't work for you. Maybe it just needed to be drilled a little bit more to give the bit some bite? But if the spring tension eased up over time anyway, that's awesome!
