Helmet cam definitely has a better field of view. The drawback is the amount of movement in the head and therefore the video. Tends to kind of make me dizzy in other people's videos. Looking around, spotting apexes, spotting corner exits, etc. And none of my helmets have a good chin mounting point. My helmet cam has always been side-mounted. So then when I ride quickly (which is often) i feel the wind resistance pulling my head to that side. Fatigues my neck after an hour or so. But I can't argue that it's a superior filming angle and results in better video if the head is controlled and moved smoothly. I'll give it another try on my next outing. Maybe I'll come up with a chin solution to help with the wind.

b & s $20 wired Lav mic with a dead cat (windscreen) either in my jacket pocket or in my backpack. This one is in my backpack. Cheap way to get good sound with very limited wind noise.

Do you have Race ECU or unlock code and did you fit sports air filter. Mine doesn't crackle like yours .

Yes it was unlocked and is running the most up-to-date race map. Stock air filter. This mic accentuates the crackles and pops. No idea why. In real life it's much less noticeable.
