It is absolutely a fantastic and quite comfortable tourer. I did 15,000 + km this year. I installed a Hepco & Becker rear luggage mount and have tank bag as well. On the rear, I can use a 30 litre or 40 litre rear bag.

Yes, I find that's its a great tourer. Especially nice that I can just twisty the throttle to get a huge grin on my face.

Good vid. I agree with you. I’ve got the 2018 Tuono RR as well. Have done 2,300 kms in two days riding it home from qld. Not recommended but it’ll do it and when the corners come it’s amazing. Incredible bike!!

Would recommend the s1000xr for the best of both worlds. If you love the V4, the Multistrada V4 is the only option.

My buddy had the S1000XR and I tried it. Although it's fast and has lots of tech, it lacks the "character" of the Italian bikes which I really like. The Multistrada is on my list and maybe it's time to try the V4.

Great video. I have the ‘22 base model and am considering SW blaze bags or the Hepco & Beckers. Oxford now make useful bottle carriers for a few extra litres of fuel as I get twitched after 100 miles!

Good to know about the extra fuel I've pushed the limit on this bike and got caught twice already.

Love the content! I ride 2012 Tuono and also modify it for touring. SW Motech tank bag (micro & Engage fits perfectly), Shad SH36 pannier with custom bracket. Ordered MRA sports windscreen but havent arrived. With stock windscreen 225 kmph is a struggle😂. Absolutely amazing machine for twisties, unbelievable sound and feel.

Just picking up on this - I have 2023 1100 V4 Factory Tuono, I've made it touring friendly with the 2021+ Aprilia touring screen, Vogt 25mm bar risers, wireless charging and nav / phone mount, Hepco and Becker rear sportrack with SW Motech 22-34L Pro rear bag and SW Motech Pro Sport tank bag 12-17L - that gives me decent capacity without overloading the bike - Im about to put it to the test as my Superduke GT with better range and has luggage capacity has an issue and I can't use it

Sounds like some great mod. I'd love to hear how it compares with the Super Duke.

Hi there, turning 60 soon and looking to get back into bikes now that my kids are less of a responsibility. I rode "old" Ducatis in my youth and am looking at reviews of the current technology to get handle on what's out there. Although your review is not so comprehensive it is otherwise good. I am 175cm tall at 72kg. I am wondering about your height and weight and how the Tuono fits your body size? Thanks.

Its good to hear that you're back!. The Tuono have so much more tech than the old bikes. For height, I'm 169cm and it fits me just fine so I think you'll be ok on it too. I've had take friends get on there and it may be a bit too small for them. Weight wise, I'm 59kg but it has a lot of torque so I'm sure you'll be fine.

Nice idea, but having to find fuel every 100 miles is why I wouldn't use my Tuono for big trips. And the sports tyres do not work well in the rain. All in all for me, it is not versatile enough.

True. The gas is definitely a problem. I've ran out of gas a couple times.

There are a few good ones and I'm not a tire specialist. But I've always liked the Pilot road series. Check them out!

my friend did you change the risers too? if so, how many cm? did you change the throttle and front brake cables? 😁
@ChasingtheSunVlog
@ChasingtheSunVlog Жыл бұрын
No, it's the stock handlebar with the Tuono. They're raised already. Didn't change the front brake or throttle cable either. Works great. Didn't feel the need.

I've had mine for 2 years now, and in my opinion, it is absolutely NOT a touring. Lets clear something that has been pissing me off since the last few years... There's a bunch of undereducated idiots on internet that have no clue about what is a TOURER (Yammie Noob)... And they are callling just about anything that is not supersport a tourer. For instance they call adventure bikes tourer... A TOURER is a bike that offers you comfort to make long distance. And to achieve that, the bike MUST offer good wind protection. And for that, a complete fairing is MANDATORY. In other words, a TOURING bike MUST HAVE a COMPLETE FAIRING. Or somehow gives you wind protection without one but that's magic imo and no manufacturer achieved that yet. A TOURING bike is NOT a bike that you can do many miles on it. I've done 1000+ km on a supersport when i was younger and that doesn't make it a tourer. Yes, when you are used to supersport, everything feels comfortable to you but then its your perception that is twisted. Back to the Tuono... You can do long trips on the bike. But it has a cost. After 500km (one shot), I had to ride without touching the handles for awhile to rest my back, my wrists and my sore butt. Ho yeah and the knees too that are really bent supersport bike style. It is really confortable but for limited distance. And I've been trapped into making a way too long trip because of that. I over estimated its apparent confort. And as the guy said in the video, and as i said in the begining, this is a naked bike. You will get beaten up badly by the wind is you dare go over 140km (90mph) and the longer the worst. Unless you are tucking yourself behind the bubble but then you can't talk about touring anymore yeah? Do i hate the Tuono? NOOOOO! I LLOVE it. One of the best bike I had (and i had many). If not the best depending on what I am looking for. Purely the fun factor and the feeling, My Benelli Tornado tre what hands down the best. But the confort was 0 on whatever scale you want to put it. If i wanna TOUR, my VFR 800 was the best. Not as comfortable as a gold wing or a pure tourer, but I don't like too heavy bikes and even when I tour, I like speeds and leaning the bike in curves so I NEED something sportier than baggers. And If i want a mix of sensations, performance and relative confort, the Tuono is the best, very close to the VFR. The VFR is maybe a best everyday bike because of the more confortable ride whereas the Tuono is a bit too agressive (legs are way too bent and saddle a bit too hard). But the sound... Best one after the Benelli's 3 cylinder tornado sound.

If you think vfr is a good sports tourer, you definitely have to try kawasaki ninja 1000sx
