Spot on. Sold a 2013 Street Triple R for the 2017 Tuono RR. Absolutely %100 lived up to my expectations and then some. And I loved the Striple. Unfortunately some wanker rear ended me at the track and totaled it and nearly me. Fortunately I've got another on order. I've ridden the factory but preferred the black RR. The Sachs components are excellent. The Ohlins are a bit more plush but unless you lead the blue group, you won't miss em. But do upgrade to the factory seat. Forged wheels anyone? Fantastic bike. My 1st choice on street or track. It's a superbike you can live with day to day. I love it.

Jeremy Dahm Yea, you're absolutely right mate. I've just bought an 1100rr in black. Looks awesome with the Akropovic on her with a tail tidy. Rode the 1100 factory on demo. Spoke with the dealer who is very knowledgeable about these, he told me, unless you are John Maguiness dont bother with the factory model on the road. The sachs units are perfect.

Had a 2014 V4R and just loved that engine, but ABS and fuel delivery weren't great. Would LOVE to try one of these out as it seems they've ironed out all the little gremlins and got themselves one hell of a bike! 👍

And you are right: it is the best naked sports bike there is! Did you knew you can down shift with throttle open? it is wonderful.

Does it have a super tall 1st gear like the 2013 RSV4 factory ?

I had some Italian bikes many many years ago, really beautiful bikes but it only gave me technical problems. Ducati, Aprillia's are a no-go for me anymore. I rather have a 'less beauty' that is reliable. There is nothing more annoying if you are on a long trip and your bike gives up in the Alps or somewhere in France 1000 km from home in the middle of nowhere. Trust me, I know....Maybe these days they are better because the Monster, the Tuono or the Multistrada are stunning looking.

Yes, they are better, much better. Motorcycle is passion first, then other things. For super reliability I buy car. For grin and joy of riding I bought Tuono.

Today Aprilia has a good reliability, certainly not worse than BMW or KTM. Regarding the Ducati, I think it has changed a lot with Audi management. Obviously no European brand equals the Japanese.

Debating getting a 16 model for a very good price or should I cough up the extra and get a 17-18?
