Ive been watching your videos for years and perming my hair myself thanks to you! I wanted advice.. as my hair is getting longer im finding it harder to use regular perm rods on my longer hair, i get them tight like yours and i was wondering what technique or rods do you think would be better for me to use next time? I also do the back myself do you think spiral rods would be possible for me to do myself??

Aww yay! 🥰🥰 I’m so glad I could help 🫶🫶 I personally would do smaller sections of hair on the same size rod the weight of the longer hair will counter act with the smaller section. If ur hair gets too long I would size up 1 size and do even smaller sections to get the same look. You could probably do the spiral rods yourself it’ll just take some practice. I think the regular rods are easier to do on yourself over the spiral rods. ☺️

One last question- do you think you will always perm your hair? If your hair is healthy you can. I would do conditioning treatments and protein treatments and use leave in conditioner to make sure your hair is healthy as can be ☺️

As a former professional hair stylist, I can tell you that every three months is so bad for your hair!!! Your ends look so fried!! For your length of hair, you should wait 4-5 months. Just a suggestion
