I have heard this song many times. Still not bored. There is something in this song that is timeless. Whenever I hear this song, I don't think it is just for human entertainment. It brings before my imagination, the celestial Apsara Menaka descending to the Earth to entice Sage Vishwamitra or Urvashi for King Pururavas.I think of the desperation of Puru (Raja Ravi Varma has picturised the flight of Urvashi and the plight of Puru in his immortal canvas) and remorse of Vishwamitra, after the Apsara is gone. These Apsaras are like thunderbolts. They come, destruct and disappear in a minute. Then why should mankind still invoke them? Their unimaginable beauty and lure. Though humans cannot withstand it, they also cannot forget it. This one song kindles this much thought. Hats off to all those who made this song and specifically this dancer.
