Hi Daniel,the problem is much simplified by knowing the percentage equivalent of some fractions and fractional equivalent of some standard percentages.For ex,25%=(1/4),thus 1/4th of 1600,which is 400.

hi daniel you could have presented solution for problem no3 in a much easier way like: we know by the profit earned by selling for 1920 is equal to the loss incurred by selling for 1280. ie let x be the cp, then x+ profit= 1920, and x- loss = 1280. if we add both 2x= 3200, so cp =3200/2=1600. we need to find sp ie 125% ofcp which is equal 1600/100 x125= 2000/-

shortcut trick to last question: after you got the cp which is 600, the price at which it has to be sold to get the profit of 25% will be simple 125% of cp. sp = 1.25 x 600 = 750
