Tonight on APTN National News: RCMP say they are still not able to name the four victims found dead in Carry the Kettle Nakota Nation.
As consultations continue on a new safe consumption site in Winnipeg, some residents say they are not being heard.

I'm a former user and I cringe when people say addiction is a sickness, if that were the case I'd still be using. I know from lived experience that addiction is a choice, whether it is alcohol or drugs. I started with weed and later tried cocaine and started blending them in my joints and eventually switched completely over to cocaine and was on the streets when I heard my ex had a set of twins, I decided that I didn't want my kids going through the welfare system I did as a kid. I chose to walk away from both alcohol and drugs, but it put a lot of strain on my body and took up the bottle again. Now I am clean thirty plus years and sober over a decade. Cancer is a disease and it took my brother.

Maybe if youth aren't sheltered and can witness the consequences of doing drugs and see the actual reality of addiction maybe they will find another way for themselves to not fall into experimenting with dangerously addictive substances and or behavioral additions
