The old saying " An eye for an eye", commit the crime then do the time. I'm a 66 yr old Metis and found out my G.G.Grandmother was once the oldest native to die on Vancouver Island in 1931 at 104. My G.G.Grandfather Captain James Douglas Warren came from P.E.I. in 1858.Opened up the Trade Routes here to the Haida Gwaii. He was the last owner of the SSBEAVER, it sunk at Prospect Point in 1888. My Aunt Sarah Warren was a Matriarch of the Songhees, she was the 1st person of the North People to win back the Right's, for The Traditional Mask Dance in 1950. I went to school during the 60's in Port Alberni, with many boarded out student's. Even Chief Judith Sayers she told Trudeau off on the news last year, when our Prime Minister TRUDEAU flew to Tofino on TRUTH & RECONCILIATION DAY.

The priest tried to help for 30 years, then why did he not report the beatings and sexual abuse then? I wish I had known about this when it was happening. I do not like Priests, and I sure do not trust them. They do what they want, and in their skinny mind, God forgives them. God was created by man to keep the masses willfully submissive.
