Great video! Thanks for producing it! If you are using the 300D ii with the dome - up close for a nice, soft light - in a talking-head scenario, does its fan noise give you any concern as far as the subject’s microphone is concerned? For instance, with a lav mic? I’m wondering how the 300D ii’s fan volume compares to the 120D ii’s fan volume.

Hey! Glad it was helpful. The noise is negligible. Honestly, I’ve used it as a key light for a good number of talking heads, and as part of the usual room tone, the fan noise has not stood out to me at all.

Nice one Nick! I agree, brighter is definitely better. More options for diffusion, bounce etc.

Well colour me chuffed! Haha had no idea you were subscribed mate. Definitely having to invest in some more negative fill and some flags to help get the balance right with this light!

Its at the price point that I think its something to have in the kit. its better in my opinion to have head room on output and be able to dim it right down rather than be running short on light output when you need it.

Thanks for watching mate. I have to agree, I think I have a stronger opinion on that now, I've used it for a couple of jobs over the last week and that extra level of output has come in handy already!

Very nice video Nick, Do you recommend the 300d ii for table top product b roll videos or is too much power? Thank you very much,

Thanks David! For closeup type product work, the 120d mk ii will be more than enough until you need to light bigger things or have wider shots.
