Did this paper for my end of year 12 mock nearly stopped me from applying for physics at uni

Thanks for the help in GCSEs mate I got all sevens in science

Thank you so much science shorts. Before my GCSEs I was failing this damn subject 💀. I watched your videos before every test and I got a 7,6! Thank you so much. You genuinely carried my grades 🙏

Can you please explain how the angle in the black circle is equal to the critical angle? Why is it that angle of incidence specifically which is the critical angle? 35:17
@ScienceShorts3 ай бұрын
Critical angle: angle of incidence such that angle of refraction is 90 degrees.
@charliekorotana66453 ай бұрын
@@ScienceShorts but none of the rays are being refracted at 90 degrees along the boundary right?

Hi, do you plan on going over the Edexcel papers? It would be really useful!

I dunno man, just doing AQA drives me insane as it is

I agree there's barely any Edexcel video walk-throughs available

Q 6.4 1.01.7 please explain why :' the wave speed is no longer going to be 14.2' Aren't the waves still going to continue West along the same direction as the ship ? sorry I don't understand why ship speed is subtracted from wave speed. If waves had been going in opposite direction I would get it. Please help me understand what I'm missing here. Thanks .. great video
@ScienceShorts3 ай бұрын
Relative speed. If two cars travelling at 30mph going in opposite directions meet, their relative speed is 60mph
@geoffphillips81833 ай бұрын
@@ScienceShorts of course!! thanks;👍 in my image of the ship riding the wave I mistakenly felt speeds needed to be added & thnx for replying on a Sat ; much appreciated.

at 19:06 why did you say the gradient is 450/6500 shouldnt it be 450/5600? also wouldnt it have a different decelerating gradient anyways? Also did you divide the velocity by 2 to find the mean velocity because in the question it said that the vehicle is goingto try and beat the record so you know it will run twice?
@THE_LAST_STYLEBENDER18 күн бұрын
for exmaple i calculated the gradient to have a velocity of 470 and a distance to be 7000 which is consistent with the markscheme values but the markscheme used SUVAT instead of the equation which u used give in the question?

For 1.3, why can it not be - - - u s s
@ScienceShorts2 ай бұрын
That would create strangeness - weak interactions cannot do that. And it couldn't be strong because total s would not be conserved.

Also for 4.4, I don’t understand how the angles on the left are both 48.5*. I thought they are 41.5 and both critical angles.
