man i completely overcomplicated the hexagon one, q27. instead of 1/2abSinC i tried using the pythagoras theorem... I was on the right path but your method was way easier lol- Thank you

Pythagoras is not a bad call - you can divide an equilateral triangle into two right angled triangles easily enough, and you don’t then need to recall your exact trig values. Did you manage to work it through to a solution that way?

FOr the hexagon question i simplified the area of a triangle earlier by halving 5x5 divided by 2 to 5 instead of putting it as a fraction my answer then ended up as something different 50pi-30 root 3 all over 12 and im not sure how many marks i would get and could you explain where i went wrong was it because i simplified too early?

The 50pi part is right, as is your denominator. It's the coefficient of the the root 3 part that is wrong. Did you make an error when combining the two fractions over the common denominator?

@MrTompkins Hello there sir, im nearing to my gcses day by day and i keep doing past papers of math, before i wasnt able to answer even half of the paper but now i can. my problem is that i dont see progress, i just eep getting the same average of marks and im really not satisfied with anything less than 80%, how do i start to see progress in my marks sir?

Progress is not linear - sometimes it feels like we are not getting anywhere, and then suddenly we leap forward. So don't get despondent. You are doing the right things, it will come! Are there particular topics that you are struggling on? I've been working on a topic compilation series, where I cover every question I can find on a given topic. It was meant to go out in June, but exams were cancelled due to COVID. So it was released as the November set instead. There was just one paper set released in 2021 and this is it!
