I know for other parts of the world like in America there is a culture created by roofing manufactures for home owners to have their roofs cleaned via a softwash which is great and i believe in that method. In other parts of the world like here in S Africa, Uk, Germany, Italy,Australia, where we use predominantly barrel tiles/concrete tiles instead shingles, and there isnt a drive for home owners to have their roofs cleaned, people are therefore used to high pressure washers being the main way to clean a roof. So its important t keep in mind as i know people are sharing their opinions that not everywhere in the world there is as established culture and well recognised business model of cleaning roof using SH and a softwash method. To add to this, the amount moss and algae growth you find in most roofs for example here in S A, you would be wasting alot of SH to clean a roof and for customer to see results. I use a soft wash method as a post wash treatment because if the roofs that are dirty here,they ARE super bad to the worst degree and SH wont do the job and would give a business a bad review because again people are not inclined in using SH to clean roofs. So im saying all of that to say this, this machine would make me alot of money because it would give the results the customer wants to see and what the customer would be happy to pay for.

Soft Wash is the only process that doesn't harm the roof. Never use pressure like this. Plus soft washing is much faster and much safer.

High pressure being used in my opinion is not a good idea. It could cause leaks to form. A simply soft wash system would clean that roof very effectively without all the pressure being used.

James you sound like you have never done this professionally, soft wash is a scam on tile roofs. If the roof were to have leaks from this type of system, it would most definitely have leaks from Soft wash as well as you’re pushing water on the roof.

Ok so I just don't even know where to start 😦. In America we spray the roof with a hot mix of sodium hypochlorite and let that do the job. What takes y'all 6 hours to do we can do in 2 hours if not less and be on to the next three houses that need a roof wash. I thought people getting up on roof's with surface cleaners was crazy then I came across this video. I love how y'all act like 6 hours was some kind of record breaker. This industry is out of control 🤦🏾‍♂️

Man if you're a homeowner honestly just go to the store and get you wet&forget hose end sprayers that shoot 30 feet spray from ground or ladder without ever having to step foot onto the roof. And then walk away and forget about for about a couple months depending on how bad the organic growth is on your roof wet&forget will do the job it will just take a little while. If you're not the patient type you can always spray your roof with a strong mixture of bleach and soap. Bleach and soap is pretty much the roof cleaning standard in America.

If it’s been in a kiln it has a fired outer surface that protects the softer inner material. Go using this type of water pressure on them and you destroy the fired surface. Then watch it degrade rapidly. There’s a reason you are not allowed to use high pressure power washes on listed buildings, especially the roof. It’s like using sandpaper on your teeth to whiten them. Great....for 5 minutes.

Update: so i cleaned my roof with no water, took me about 15-18hours total over 3 days to clean with a brush a a scraper. Looks great and i don't have any guilt about wasting tons of water
