@@HighSpinSwingSpeed I don't know what brand it is, just a cheap one off Amazon. I use cinder blocks to keep it in place. I have a Balasz stand in my apartment which is much better but is very expensive and I wouldn't want it to rust and maybe not be dismantable after a full season.

I saw in another video where they first unboxed and filled the bag. The bag material seems very thick and stiff so now I understand why you suggested using air to inflate the bag first. I was thinking along similar lines by putting warm water (not hot) into the bag and letting the plastic/rubber material slowly reform from its' flattened shipping shape before fully filling it and stressing it to the max. A lot of the One Star comments was about the bag splitting and I wonder if filling it with cold water in a cold, flat, stiff bag might be too much stress for the material. In any case, I'd still be afraid to hang it inside my house. In the basement there is a floor drain in case my bag develops a split. Another thing I would have liked to have seen was some sort of metal/plastic circular ring or half circle between the "D" shackle and the rubber mounting hole - to spread the stress over a larger area. But, it may not be needed since I haven't read of any failures in that area.
@TheRollDdice Жыл бұрын
Great idea! Filling it with warm water to let it stretch out is a lot more feasible than pumping compressed air into the Aqua Bag for most of us.
@peterandersson42433 жыл бұрын
I put anti-freeze in my buoy to be able to hang it outside and it was just fine even when it was -10°C for a prolonged period of time recently. (Just mix the water and anti-freeze to the correct proportions for whatever temperature you want the buoy to handle). I also made a smaller buoy to work as a headhunter bag that I store in my basement and hang up whenever I want to use it. I believe you recommended that in an older video?
@csquaredboxing3 жыл бұрын
Nice!
@nb06163 жыл бұрын
i was curious about that more so because the buoy material gets cold as well and it stiffens up. i guess the material contracts substantially in mild cold but doesn't expand much from very high temperatures.

Two things I forgot to mention in the video: The aqua sensor does NOT fit the polyform aqua buoys. The thread and diameter of the fill hole is completely different. If you have to fill the bag yourself, you can get a garden hose shut off valve adapter that you can screw on the end of the hose. That way you can turn the water on and control the flow from next to the bag without water spraying everywhere. Food for thought.
@jakepayne29853 жыл бұрын
Or one of those snake flexible hoses that expand with water and coil up when off. They have a shut off valve built on them. The iGrass brand on Amazon has lasted me a year so far with heavy use. 100ft, and would never use a traditional hose now, they’re bad ass!
@toxomanrod2 жыл бұрын
Is the aqua sensor thread larger or smaller than the polyform? If the thread is larger, then it should be possible to 3d print and adapter. Please let me know! Thanks

Nice review. I'm considering getting the 15 inch Aqua bag (£110) or the A2 polyform buoy (also 15inch for £35). But the aqua bag is £75 ($105) more expensive than the polyform, would you say the aqua bag is still worth considering due to the softer feel of the fabric? I am happy to pay more if there would be some significant benefit particularly if it's easier on joints?

You can buy valve adapters for the regular Water Buoys like the red thing you have in the corner. You can get them very low money (youtube censoring the word beginning with ch) searching "Polyform U.S. Inflation Adaptor compassmarine" Its a universal pump adapter, I imagine it must be possible to adapt the sensor to fit it or to attach a general Pressure Gauge. I presume its just a pressure gauge in the sensor, which is why one side measures more than the other, and why they want water seeping out, to create a tight seal.

Just a tip. I have had my 21" bag for 2.5 years and what I did was fill it with water 3/4 full, then with a hand pump I filled it with air till the wrinkles went away (shove the needle of the hand or foot bike tire air pump all the way in). The wrinkles are very hard to hit in cold weather. I used a ladder to place the foot tire air pump on and filled it with air till the wrinkles went away.

Great content! Looks like you can really work body shots too. I'm very interested in getting this but one concern. I have limited space where I'd hang it in my home gym in the basement. I'll have to take it down when I want to use my bench press, etc in the same space. I know you showcased the 18" and that's 120#s. Obviously, a pain in the ass to hang/rehang solo. Thinking about the 15" cuz that's significantly less weight at 75# and more managable. Question: Do you think the 15# is large enough to work body shots based on your experience with the 18#?
@csquaredboxing3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man, the 15# may be a tad small and is better for working mobility rather than power body shots
