What would you say are the best size of gloves for each occasion? I'm currently using MMA gloves on the heavy bag and I wanna get something with a little more protection for power punching, but can't decide if 12oz or 14oz will be better.. (16 seems too big to me for bag work)

New subscriber here, love all your training tips! I have been seeking info on all forms of combatives for years, and when I find a channel that always teaches me something new (to me)! I stick with it. Boxing is one of the things it was considered proper for a gentleman to learn back in the Victorian era, to defend yourself and ladies from ruffians. These days, your lady is more likely to defend herself, but it is something you should consider learning and improving on. Myself, I began my training in Tang Soo Do back in the mid-80's and thought I was pretty good until I sparred with a Golden Gloves guy. Once he learned how to get past my kicking range, he dominated, and I never forgot that! And this particular episode is important to me because I train in my basement, and space is limited, as is my time and energy. I need reviews I can trust, and this makes me aware of what that bag is for, and what it isn't for! I have a heavy bag, of course, and a B.O.B., and am always trying to find gear to help my solo training, as it is hard to get a partner here. I look forward to all your future episodes.

Definitely tips and gear for solo training. It is hard for me to find a partner. I have a heavy bag, B O.B., focus mitts and a kicking shield. Considered a top-and-bottom bag- my heavy bag has to be on a stand so I don't get room for footwork.

Throw in plenty of faints to get them thinking about what you can throw at them and try to read patterns on how they react. Hey Tony, thanks for an other great video. The tear drop bag used to be my favourite and I would go heavy on my training with it. However, after a particular tough session I managed to get hairline fractures in my knuckles. I thought my hands were wrapped properly and the padding in my training gloves should have been fine. Do you have any pointers on how I can avoid these injuries, or maybe even show us how to wrap our hands in the most optimal way to protect them? Thanks again.
