I found a very young crow one day on the forest floor, I believe he may have fallen from the nest,I'm guessing he was a day or so old when I found him. Anyway, I raised and spent a lot of time with that bird. Named him Willie, the best companion I ever had. (Got his name due to coming in to visit when we played country music) I took him detecting a few times where he actually had grabbed a silver coin when I plucked it from the hole. He flew off with it and I never seen the coin again, not even sure what it was. Willie sat in the back seat on the way home that day.🙄 Thanks for the great memories Chigg

WJK That is a great video Yes I New about crows doing this sort of thing. When I found this coin Willie was standing to the left of me. I put the coin on a downed rotted tree beside me and rechecked the hole. When I looked over I seen him grab it and fly off. About a half hour later he returned. He acted as though nothing happened. Thanks for sharing

those rocks could of been lining the edge of a old garden from a house site near by

That was my thought too. Looks like the tree might have been planted in the middle of the rock circle. A guess at the age of the tee and other larger ones there might tie in. Not sure how far the pond is away from there but the stones could have come from there or indeed the stones around the pond could have been from stone houses at the site as they were larger and squarer. The rock paths were lined with smaller and more irregular stones. The farmer might have more info.

Since it included pots and pans and a few dishes I suspect it may have been from a rental where renters skipped out and left everything behind. Owner hauled it off and dumped it.

Beatrice Hall very well could have been either...or even perhaps someone cleaned out their own garage or storage unit and didn't want to pay to dump it...the goodwill is a much better place to dump unwanted items...at least people benefit from that

I like your channel even more since you like crows. We have a ton of them that hang out in a wooded area at my work. I like their "rattle" call. It really freaked out a co-worker one time when we were eating lunch outside and 2 or 3 of them started doing that from somewhere back in the woods. It's kind of echo-y back in there and she had no idea any animals actually made that noise. I think she thought the Predator from the movies was gonna come kill us.

I believe the dump pile may possibly be from a storage locker burglary. Saw my first 3 years ago when I went back home to our old abondoned farm in ND and found that kind of stuff all over the yard plus found out they had broke in to the quanset to store the more valuable stuff. Sherrif actually caught them when they came back again with more stuff. Bastards only gota few months.

Hi! My Grandfather had a pet crow that just appeared one day. Once during a cookout, G-pop fed him a piece of ground beef while he was sitting on his shoulder, and the crow stuffed it in G-pops ear! Lol! Anyyway, just like you said, Jack eventually flew off and would come back off and on for several years.

Adon Sullivan Friend, I think you need to be a little careful with word definitions. The successful KZbin personalities pay attention to what their followers like and dislike. That is one of the main purpose of the thumbs. It is a quick way to communicate with the channel without writing a note. Listen to Chiggs patter; he frequently talks about trying to do and to show what we all want to see. They are “little thumb pictures” indicating what people enjoy or do not. They are NOT indicators of HATE! There is real and ugly meaning to that over and incorrectly used word! This is NOT HATE ! Please !

That rock outline looks a lot like a garden outline. the circle may have been around that tree when it was much smaller. 17-1800's little gardens were popular. It works with the stone lined pond as fish ponds were often also included but not always part of the garden.

Thinking that well may have been over by an animal pen or possibly where a barn was. The property I grew up on (build in the mid 1800s) had two wells, one about 50 yards from the house and another by the old barn to get water for the animals.

You are a man after my own heart....LOL! I too love looking through garbage if I find it in the bush....I would have taken the blue bin or grey bin and filled it with some of the useful things such as the dishes. The plates would be fun to decorate a garden, shoot, or take into the recycler to sell (after they are throughly washed of course). The colander could be used to clean some of your finds along with the blue or grey bin to soak them in. Pots and pans could be taken in for scrap. Sorry, I couldn't resist telling you that. Could have, should have, would have.....sigh.....ya I know....every one tells you what they would have done but in reality I can see that haluing this crap out would be a pain and not really worth messing up your hunt. Oh and BTW - Dad says "Why aren't you wearing your gloves?" LOL! He always says that. I suggest getting a pair of safety glasses with the magnified bottom. Watch those branches and your eyes. Fun video as always!

If the address on your official sight is still accurate I would be happy to send you the information. I made the comment here on a recent video thinking you would be more likely to see it. I've had a couple of instances of people dumping trash over my fence line. It's damn aggravating. One pile actually was profitable though. Along with the trash they dumped some motorcycle parts, frames tank etc that I ended up selling for quite a bit of money. Guy threw about a thousand bucks over my fence when all was said and done. This fall someone dumped bunk beds and an entire slate pool table in the neighbor's pasture. ???
