Well , it's the summer of 2022, and going on four years, for my "Commander," and it still floats, even after a few "close encounters, with unfriendly rocky shores, and more than a few tubes , of Gorilla Glue and E-6000. Added a 60 Amp ESC, AN E switch for lights, and a new 9X7 Air-tronics prop. THE boat also became one of the dedicated recovery crafts, for our boat club, and THE COMMANDER has "Scotty " from Star Trek at the helm. (big kid's attraction." It still turns heads. Most people ,have never seen the boat. But, now most people know me, by sight, Because of the Cajun. And to you two, for your awesome review.

ADDING , to the "Cajun experience, " LIFE is never a dull moment, with that boat. Being, it's one one of the most prominent boats; at the pond, IT also gets a lot of "Play time." Our newest member to the Commander club, is ten year old, Ezra, who has been my faithful dock chief for a year" , and is always being so helpful. THIS year, he's finally learning how drive the boat. A 2S battery, and a clocked back transmitter, and "Now it's my boat, " and he can't get enough "Stick Time." He loves it. He has issues, with MOM telling him , what to do; but , he's all business, when running the Cajun. HE is focused, careful, and is more disciplined than some the seasoned best. drivers. We are learning proper boat edicate , and how to keep our distances safe, from other boats; and THE ducks. IT's cool to see kids grow into this hobby. AND the Cajun, is a great to learn on. It's also formidably challenging on windy days, and basically a sail boat, beyond a 15 mph. breeze. I can draft, and drift and stay in one place with this boat. Cool factor. We have multiple shows , within our club, throughout the summer, and the Cajun, is always a crowd favorite. And has been run twice, "ON our Lite House Nights. " I strap on additional head lights, for the shows, and the kids love it. Best Regards - to you and your family- And of course , Popeye .

Some thin but longer rear running tabs in the back, flush with hull would likely prevent porpoising and increase smoothness and speed. Need that here now as so much growth in the big lake. Reg boat get snagged now. Use to race around on the lake but now air-boat or snags. Nice

I always bring an inflatable rubber raft to retrieve my boats. Since I drive modified rc speed boats, the fastest of which reaches speeds above 85 mph., I get plenty of blow overs. For that reason, that $50 rubber raft has come in handy many times. It's also much more reliable than trying to retrieve my rc boat with another rc boat. I used to use that method but it's hard to do when your boat is clear on the other side of the lake. Your boat looks like great fun. I really enjoyed your video.

It's skipping because of the water current,it's called a "Cajun Commander" They were designed for the bayou and the everglades my old home's, Mississippi and South Florida. Only time there's even a trickle in the swamp is during hurricane season, otherwise it's smooth as glass. Try putting a couple action figures on the seats might help. Or a little ballast bag on the bow/sandwich bag with sand,trial and error. But nice.

This is a great video my favorite so far, I searched boat in your channel because I wanted to see what videos you have done in the past on boats and when i stumbled upon this gem I thought I would pick this one as my favorite. I want one of these to mess around with. It doesn't look like it would flip over easily. My brother and I have had a nitrocat airboat originally powered by a cox 0.49 for probably around 20 years now and just within the last year and a half we converted it to brushless and that is a blast as well but he has that so I want one of these or I want to scratch build something similar. Do you still use it and have you ever flipped it?

On a real airboat there are trim plates on the back that will stop it from bouncing, just go get some led strip fishing weights and Velcro them up front. It will fix the problem.

We're thinking when we mount a camera to it or riders it will help. You never know how things will go on the first run and the bounce is the first thing we will try to eliminate. Thanks for the tip!

Awesome boat but it is fragile. Be careful. We ran ours in the snow on christmas day when we hit a chunk of frozen dirt. It shattered the front half of the hull. So far we have taped it up but I'd like to find a hull before spring.

I have this airboat and it's far from fragile... I've hit debris in the water wide open with mine time after time with no damage at all... if you smash into frozen ice of course it's gonna destroy it..lol... I've ramped mine off of 6ft snow banks at full speed time and time also with zero damage... don't blame the boat cuz you can't drive and smashed it full speed into a CHUNK OF ICE!!!! This is a great airboat people.. I highly recommend it.... I've had mine since they first got released and I've ran it ATLEAST 200 times and it still has all factory components and it still drives and is just as fast as the day I bought it... it's well worth the money!!! I crashed my rc airplane, it was very fragile cuz the ground destroyed it...lol...smh

Haha, well we are glad that you enjoyed the video, but I think it might have been 15 not 50 minutes. We've got some trucks that will run for about 2 hours, but sadly not this boat. It's still one of our favorite rc boats of all time though.

Nice job again guys, it looks like it runs right up the with the nitro model as far as speed and it is just as loud as the nitro version. If you guys can figure out the porposeing affect on this let me know, my nitro version does the same thing, i have mounted a Gopro on the front thinking that the weight would help this but it still does it just as bad, i've wondered if maybe they have the thrust angle off on the mounting of the motor/engine, anyway if you guys or anyone else can figure out how to correct this porposeing i would love to her how it can be fixed. Hey guys, I am liking the boat, and looking at the "Bounce' when it gets up to speed? I think I may have a fix. Back in the 70's, I was really into RC boats. I had the Dumas Dragonfly 20, and the little Swamp Buggy. What a blast to run. I was running a dual ported .049 Black Widow, engine. And K&B 30 30 Nitro. The problem I had was the same issue you guys have , The flutter, and instability at hi speeds. I solved the problem with adjusting the angle of the motor mount by adding washers to upper bracket of the mount. The fix then pushed the bow slightly down. . It corrected the porpoising . The boat ran as though it was running on a rail. I ran it for years, until I clipped a buoy on a fast turn. I split part of the bow, and took on some water. Anyway , that was then. Now, I looking to get back in the game. Can you guys recommend any good Electric Hydros ? I also ran a HOT SHOT 21, and a 3.5 outboard. UNREAL! fast, and probably the funnest boat I owned.
