You need to gear down the propeller because the tip speed cannot exceed the speed of sound. Just like an aircraft. Going any faster it will lose efficiency and not produce any more thrust.

That force you feel pushing you away from the center of what it's spinning on is the same force the blades feel, and the further away you are from the center, the more intense the forces are. That force is a product of the length of the object and the speed it's spinning at. if you increase them, you increase the forces exponentially. Just like your body, every material, metal included, has a breaking point.

Yes I agree since after a certain speed even a flat surface will see sufficient aerodynamic force to want to flip over backwards even with that high thrust line. You could have it mounted on the steering tiller as a motorcycle brake lever so you would be able to adjust it on the fly if you will.

Pretty COOL. I was on our counties airboat team. Training was fun. We were told to try to swamp it so we knew deep down what it could do in an actual rescue. I miss being Captain and going on fire calls. Got hurt at a barn fire and had to retire. Be safe.
