That can always help yes. But if you have a sufficient amount of biomedia in your filters, the majority of your BB will be in there 😁

Hi, I’ve had cichlids for 4 years. When just about any fish is gasping for air, this can mean that they need more oxygen in the water. It could also be a sign of high nitrates, nitrites, or ammonia levels in the water. Remember, oxygen in the water doesn’t come from bubbles in the water; it comes from the surface of the water being agitated and moved around. I also have discord if you have any other questions.

What filters can you run with a 3D background? I have a small tank and use a small sponge filter, would I be able to still use that filter along with the 3D background or do I have to change that type of filter entirely?

You can still run it with a sponge filter. But you may get a build up of detritus behind the background eventually and need to manually clean it out. No biggie though. 👍

I like the tree pieces but idk if I'm crazy about the rocks. I have Africans so fake rocks would be great but I just don't feel there is enough color variation and shape variation for my liking.
