Sean my friend. That's what you got to do. Always have ceramic to spare... Makes it so much easier. Ilike Aquel. They are always trying different stuff. Som bad som good. But atleast they are trying new things. Thanks for the video buddy 👊

And still. I told you that the 1080 made me watched your videos. O think you are still the best photographer. Even in the garage 😂

Your the second professional that says its junk. Ive got one on the way and the written reviews on amazon were all good and i took the bait. Now its all ready shipped and i decided to watch videos and u and prime time aquatics are the only 2 i have watched and u both said its trash. Should i even get it out the box? I have a brand new aquatech with the self priming motor and its the exact same filter as the newer penguin pro 125 without the bio wheel on the tank now. I filled it clear full of sponge and trimmed the impeller fins down so i have no idea what the gallons per hour are but there is zero blow by. Im ocd so i am constantly upgrading and i cant stop. Im curious to know what u think of the new self priming aquatech filters . I know your a die hard aquaclear man but if u fancy any hob filter other than aqua clear what would it be?

I don’t know that I called it trash. It seems almost purposely built for special scenarios though. if your going to be in and out of it all the time this one may frustrate you. I had some issue or another with almost every HOB filter I tried. I liked the seachem one probably the most but it has its issues too. lol there is a new aqua clear coming out. 😂 that being said I’d rather use this than a hob. If you don’t have something like Malaysian Driftwood clogging the filters up then this may be a set it up and rarely open it scenario.

Pecktec looks a lot like Dave Stewart in the Eurythmics' Sweet Dreams video.

Can you tell me how water flows? So I can arrange the media correctly? Does the flow from bottom to top or top to bottom? How would you order -sponge -ceramic rings -zeolite -carbon -purigen Thanks

It does seem a bit fiddly, but I can see uses some might have.

Yeah I feel like this is perfect for some use cases and experiments, but not so useful for casuals.

I just went yesterday 9/9. no longer $1/gallon. now it's 50% off. But it's closer to $4/gallon at petfart
@streettrash422010 ай бұрын
It’s the same at petco now too. The 10 gallon tanks end up closer to $1/gal but everything else is more. Everyone still calls it the $1/gal sale though…

How many gallons is it rated for how did you like it

Do u feel that its kinda to much of a mess or hassle compared to a regular canister filter ?

Seems so finicky. I would imagine it works fine but I would be so concerned about cross threading.

Time for some truth-- are you ok? - it's like you've never made a video before.

That's a bit harsh dude. He maybe struggled a bit while trying to explain the BCB baskets since it's something many people don't understand but otherwise it was a useful video. Also, the filter is very different to standard canister filters so explaining the concept of a modular canister filter is not straightforward. Believe it or not modular canister filters will be the future of aquarium filtration and Aquael have been very speculative putting out this version since there is nothing else currently available to compare it to. I'd set it up very differently and I will certainly do that on my other channel (PondGuru) since I was sent the same package by Aquael but whenever anyone makes a video to help viewers I will never complain about it since people generally do bugger all to help people and only want to leech off their viewers for income. Whatever the end result of the filter set up and logic (or lack thereof) behind it the intention to help viewers is there and I applaud that. Unfortunately most of the aquatic filtration videos on KZbin are useless crap from people who have no idea about filtration so I'm glad Pecktec has taken the time to make this video on the Aquael filter and share his version of setting it up. Admittedly I don't agree with the set up since it could be made very efficient with a few simple changes but that doesn't matter since the world would be a very boring place if we all agreed on everything.

BTW, I am working on a modular canister filter - it's very different to the Aquael version.

Hey Sean. How did you think this video went? Or the filter build? Even the different ways to use it? You know I usually comment but maybe not this time. Yes, I think half of the video you could've used as blooper but I know you are also a funny guy so let's leave it at that. But I'm sure when the time has come to implement or use this filter for real you will put the time in it and make it work in the correct way as the manufacturer wanted it to. In the meantime, I keep watching!

I think it went ok. I promised to show how it works and I did so mission accomplished I suppose.

@@pecktec Yes you did, Sean. I do like your dry humour. While back I said it once that in real life I think you and I could be friends cause I dig the same humour as you do and give each other some tease. But to the video, yes you said you show it and you did and it worked and more ways too. Joke aside, I always like things that are simple and most of all if it works what I need it for. So I will watch one day when you implement it on a tank and show it how it functions. Cause we know it works but how well is yet to come. I'm not sure that you even know which way you going to use it. When the time comes then you will decide. But my takeaway on this filter is that if you have a bigger tank you can add more sections to it or just use enough of what you need it for. The word is versatile I think. So as your virtual friend, fan, pal or just another subscriber with this, I can keep a clean tank while I follow my bliss. So Thanks, Sean! Big thumbs up as usual! 👍
