In the UK we use fly maggots for fishing we use a mesh riddle to separate them out from the detritus may be worth a go

I breed spiders aswell as fishes so i always have a plentiful supply of live food. I feed a lot of my spiders live food to the fishes, crickets, mealworms, pea beetles, cockroaches etc etc

Great video. That had to suck dumping the table i would of been so mad at myself. But i remember when you had went to a auction and bought some. I need to try and find some on line cause it seems like a easy thing to do. Thanks for sharing

Honestly, it probably wouldn't be too unhealthy to let some of that dust go into your tank along with the larvae. Especially if it's an ecosystem tank. Something will eventually eat it, even if it's the plants long term.

@@gm836 they are extremely manageable in most tanks if you’ve got shrimp sometimes it’s difficult because nothing will eat them. You can put a product in called no planaria, which will take care of it. Just make sure you don’t have a snail you really love.

Betta patoti are awesome, I'm sure you will enjoy them. I have kept adult groups of 15+ in 40long tanks for years. Fry won't survive, but the adults are perfect fine together. That's one of the great things about the wild type bettas. They generally do well in groups vs the regular domesticated splendens. You can usually sex mouth brooding bettas pretty young. A top down view of the nose of a female will be narrow/pointed like an 'A' where a male will have a wide/blunt nose like a 'D' because his mouth is so large to hold the eggs/fry.

How are the mollies doing with the bettas so far? I have wild bettas too. Many wild bettas are fine with with others of their own kind for sure if they have enough space. It's a little hard to find information about them like domestic bettas. I have Foerschi, Betta Falx & an Anabantoides & Betta Uberis. They seem hardier and more rugged than domestic bettas. Enjoyed this video! This has been a strange month..

Great video as always. A sign that you have a potassium deficiency is pin holes in anubias plant leaves. The potassium will not close existing holes, but it will prevent new ones from forming.
