Hi all, Today I was lucky enough to receive another Aquael Ultra Heater. I have used my first one for years now and found it to be super reliable, easy to use and has some functions that I really love, albeit at a price. Hopefully you like this video and thanks to nanotanksaustralia.com.au/ for supplying me with this heater.

I have used this brand in all my aquariums, I have a 655ltr and I use the 500w Inline heater, it is a fabulous piece of kit. This gives me no cold spots in the water. As the heater is below the tank I don’t even need to switch it off during the water change. I to would recommend this brand for me they are one of the best about. Love your reviews by the way.

Hello. As this thermostat is different from the others, which are placed next to the filter so that the warmer water circulates throughout the aquarium, is it also necessary to place this one next to the filter for hot water circulation, or is it not necessary? I have bought one of this. Thanks in advance

I wish we had the ones with Celcius in Canada. They sell us the US version with F. Nobody else in the world uses F... I keep having to google to set the correct settings. I have the 25W and the 50W and run them on inkbird controllers just for the added safety.

Sadly, I have had 2 of these 150w heaters explode in my reef tank sump,, 1 exploded and a month later the 2nd. Lasted around 14 months which is quite poor for a premium heater. Never again for me, you can now get titanium schego heater here in Melbourne, so I have replaced these duds with them. And luckily I was using a inkbird controller, I wonder if they would have cooked my tank otherwise. Once bitten.

@@BlakesAquatics - I was near the tank and heard a “bang” - opened the door to the cabinet and could smell the dreaded electrical burn smell. I unplugged the heaters and pulled both out - 1 was fine, the other case was cracked open from the thermostat to the base - the entire length. Exactly the same happened to the second. I like the design, small, plastic etc - all good - but clearly poorly built. No way could I recommend this brand.

Does the heater auto cut off when it reaches the said temperature, and powers back on automatically if the temperature falls below than what I intended. I mean i set it to 28* and the water in the tank is 25*C, Now once the heater, helps the water to be 28, and my question is - Does it turn off automatically, as all the water in the tank has reached 28 and powers back ON again if the temperature falls below 27. Hi Blake, I purchased this heater after first watching this video and I’m finding it fluctuates quite a bit. I have an seperate digital alarm thermometer always on in the tank along with it. It goes between 24 & 27 degrees frequently. Just wondering if you had the same or if it might be a tad finicky thermostat? I’ve had it about a 6 weeks now, I got the 75 watt for a 60l tank. ❤️🇦🇺
@BlakesAquatics2 жыл бұрын
Hey Chelle, I didnt find that with mine to be honest, it might be an iffy thermister, reading the comments post upload it does seem like maybe they arent the best on quality control but the ones i have had i still maintain are my best heaters

I'm wondering if having more than 1W per litre isnt helping. Maybe you are getting a bit of a historesis (over swing) caused by the extra rush of heat when it's turned on.
